The tech and appliance giant plans on rolling out these displays on actualy TV sets sometime in 2017:
“…by 2017, we will successfully develop an Ultra HD flexible and transparent OLED panel of more than 60 inches.”, says LG SVP and Head of R&D, In-Byung Kang.
They did it!
Sick and tired of exhibition "demos". Show me a product I can buy (preferably, built into a phone) and we can talk...
Future kind of wardrobe?
This is for those giant people who ask for a screen bigger than 6 inches
A really BIG well done and definitely keep it up to LG in the (TV, etc) display department.
This isn't very interesting, I want to see real televisions and not such gimmicks with flexibility. They are the best in TVs, but there is still much work to be done (1. bring down prices of high end OLEDs 2. more size variation 3. bring OLED to mid range and low end TV)
With all those breakthroughs in OLED industry, why haven't we see any implementation of it in their flagship smartphones?
Now this will tremble all other manufacturers. Go LG you are the best.
