Honestly whats up with fandroids always comparing every device to Apple..? Its like you guys wish you could own one...
If the OnePlus 5 is touted as the Iphone for android users.. I see that as high praise actually.. the main reason why jailbreaking was ever a thing, is cause people liked the iPhone hardware just wanted a more open free software (ie Android was born). With the OP5, now those people have a choice and may consider switching over..

I booked one plus 5 and paid money to amazon and they delivered dummy iph 7 plus, so check your courier partner becs they spoil your image

You know it doesn't make sense nowadays to have a $500 device that literally has the same screen as the predecessor.
No I'm not talking about resolution.
Sony uses 1080p on their flagships, but they get improved each generation in terms of brightness, contrast, white balance, etc.
OP5 really has the same exact screen as the 3 and 3T. Same resolution, same brightness levels, same contrast ratio, same color gamut, etc.
And that's not to say it's a bad thing, but seriously, is it worth the extra $100?
8GB RAM is an improvement? Cool! 'Cause 6GB RAM is very lacking, and next year, 8GB RAM will be very low.
SD835 sure is better, but not $100 more.
Dual camera is cool, but quite disappoints with the results.
F1.7 and still uses ISO 1000 in pure daylight? Even my Zenfone Max with f2.0 only uses ISO 120 in daylight and gets well-defined results.
Battery seemed to be untouched, but I don't mind 'cause it passes the 3000mAh mark. Again, just not worth another $100.
Software doesn't seemed to be worked on either.
$300 more expensive flagships have newer interface and new functions.
Samsung got Bixby and a redesigned UI.
Apple got a new look of iOS.
Huawei uses a multi-functional home button.
LG utilizes the new aspect ratio screen.
Sony brought amazing live wallpapers and a new Xperia tips.
What changes did the OP5 got in software?
Almost nothing I'd say.
Again it's not bad, but it's nothing to ask for another $100.
Hopefully they'll nail it with the OP6.

Iphone copy android phone that comes with dual lens camera
Iphone copy android phone that comes with water resistance
soon Iphone will copy android phone that comes with fast charging
and soon Iphone wil copy android phone that comes with wireless charging
so why would you like to spend so much money to get features that already in the android phone? don't get fooled by Apple, they just want your money. spending too much money just to get phone with a low battery life, limited storage and who would give a damn care about the chipset? only gamers need that fast processor, normal people buy iphone just for whatsaap and facebook? lol think about it

I voted no, but in reality, it's exactly what i expected. Mobile companies are so insane and evil nowadays i really didn't expect anything better. High price, small non-removable battery, no sd slot, mediocre design...Yes, exactly what i expected. The only thing that surprised me was the 3.5mm jack, but i'm sure they'll "fix" this in their next model.

Honestly speaking I would feel ashamed having it, considering it looks like an iPhone copy. Also, tiny sensor cameras instead of a single good camera, no small bezels, the unjustified price hike and shady behavior around benchmarks and pre-release claims. It all left a very sour taste in my mouth, as they are becoming more of a generic chinese copycat company. The 3T was a great phone. I would still recommend it over this thing.

Not by a long shot, not much of a difference from their first phone many years ago but the company will try to convince you it's the best thing around. The company has been called out many times for shady dealings, don't support corrupt companies like oneplus.

Sd card have a lot higher chance to fail than the inner flash drive. So that statement is bs. It's only people who whine enough and can't think a little. That's the reason Sammy put it back.

For those who defending iPhone copying.
Let's say true - if you wanna iPhone - you need to buy iPhone, not the strange copy of it. If you wanna iPhone bit have no money - it's ok, bot replacing iPhone with cheaper copy - tells you something missed in this life.
To OP I'd like to say - first, 1+1 was similar to OPPO Find line. And it's ok - 1+ and OPPO in fact - one company. But then 1+ became real phone for geeks with it's unique design. Now OP became just cheaper iPhone copycat and cheater. So it's clear - OP5 isn't for power users. It's for people who pretending to be power user but in fact they are not. They easily adopt iPhone copying because they don't care how phone looks, and - true - how phone works. Numbers, cheated tests, hipe on profile websites will give them feel of satisfaction. Few years after we will see joining OP and OPPO if headquarters of BBK corp, owner of OP will not decide to change the way of OP again to geeks and power users. But reputation of OP is broken. OP will sell only in China and nowhere else. Don't think buying of OP5 now is good idea now. There are a lot of other great phones with not worst specs, but with unique design. Bue, OP, we will remember you. But if you want us to buy your products you have to respect us.
