bassfun, 02 May 2011Why there is still MeeGo after Nokia decided to adopt WinMo? Is there any differentiation of ... moreMeeGo is still here because some really big names support it (like Intel for instance).
And NO there is no differentiation from any other Linux based OS (like WebOS, Android, iOS).
But I could be wrong here, I heard MeeGo is more native Linux, because it doesn't have additional layers on top of native Linux, like DalvikVM in Android.
Well anyway it sounds cool to have a X86 machine in your pocket, doesn't it?
And besides, more OS choice, more competition, cheaper smartphones/tablets!
Go MeeGo! :D

Yes, meego is good of LG, because they can costumize it with thier S-CLASS interface, Way to go LG! Bring back the viewty, renoir, arena with MEEGO OS and 1gb ram. Bring back too the Schneider-Kreuznach lens, 120 fps video, fish/butterfly moving wallpaper plus IPS super screen and in a 8 mm thickness for a phone.

Anonymous, 01 May 2011Well nokia already has a n950 meego phone. Some guy (possibly nokia staff already using it). H... moreI sure hope somebody bring an End User Customer version out soon. The waiting game is killing me. I've been through 6 HD2's malfunctioning and All the other phones that I would've wanted are on other Networks while waiting on at least one Meego phone. I mean I know take your time to make it the best it can be but seriously, whats taking sooo long? Release one then update it to make it better.

I would love it if Nokia releases the first one...plus they did not "abandon" MeeGo...they still going to produce MeeGo devices in the future, but just not a a lot of them...And Nokia still owns 50% of MeeGo
I won't be buying one though...I am waiting for A Nokia running Windows Phone 7...
But if the N950, or N9 or whatever they call it has a 12mp camera, dual core processor(or 1.5ghz single core), 1gig ram, quad-core gpu, 4inch or more Qhd AMOLED display, 64gb memory, QWERTY keyboard, and more, then Im sold.

MeeGO or Android....both are open source no?...Soo..v're NOT going to pay 500$ on a 4n where the operating system in it costs 499$ & the hardware costs only 1$ & need another 500$ softwares to make the device to do SOMETHING....Happy 2 hear that....:)

You do realize that at least one MeeGo tablet has been available in retail for over 6 months, right? (The WeTab, which many reviewers have found disappointing--still, it exists.)

AnonD-5791, 29 Apr 2011Nah..I got a feeling they won't focus too much on MeeGo. Same case as their only 3 WP7 device.... moreLG already has quite a few Meego devices. Check some of them out on youtube. Search Meego IDF, Meego LG or Meego Devices.
