If I want a phone that can handle a drop im dreaming, the best protection for your device is to take care of it, 800$ wasted to me.

Things OnePlus can now do to gain my heart again

    1. support the hell out of their phones which made them popular, so OnePlus 3 and newer
    2. release a OnePlus 6 next year with better 12MP camera and better 1080p display at lower price tag, something like € 440.

Even I feel to have got fooled with OP2 and can't think of upgrading mobile every year! It is a lesson learnt and I see this as a trend in most of the Android based mobiles.

Whining about the OP2 sounds more like attention seekers (most of them).

Don't burn down a company about 1 or 2 missed promisses.
          Other companies have broken more.

Developers must have gone through tough time to made it happen.
Anyway I'm happy with this remark

They also said the 3 would get Nougat by the end of 2016 - and guess what - IT DID. Granted, it received it on 31 December 2016, but it still got it by the end of the year.

Highly doubt that. Considering that OP never really managed to update the OP2 to Nougat even though announced and now even that's coming to an end. Find it unlikely OP3 (maybe OP3T will get) will get O.

y, 27 Jun 2017android P will be the last update for op 3 /3t and i find that totally okWhat makes you say P will be the last update?

Android O will be the last update for the 3/3T since they were launched with Marshmallow, received Nougat and then will get O by the end of this year which will be the final software update from OnePlus for those 2 phones.

I know that OP2 and OPX did not get promised updates, so I took a risk buying my phone. Luckly it became popular enough to varrant a good support.
