Zoom, 28 Jun 2017Just make them phone cameras better, mate And u will be the best brandAgreed, actually in manual mode its already the best, its just auto mode they need to fix.
After the updation to Android naught, my audio system is not working properly. It is automatically on the silent condition. Phone is not ringing while the incoming calls and msgs. Please tell me a solution
AnonD-550433, 28 Jun 2017I feel you. Has a z3c and a z5 and they were both terrible in the camera departament. I had to... moreYour Z3c on auto has only 8MP. Nobody expect great shots.
Get your Z5c and change to 23 on auto. It will be much better.
SONY, the best brand in almost everything.
Just make them phone cameras better, mate
And u will be the best brand
Well done, Sony! More companies should follow in the same footsteps....
IDreadman, 28 Jun 2017Please Sony do something about this camera issue. You will soon be out of the gameThey brought their game a notch higher with the XZ Premium. They won't go out of the game, even if they mess up again, which is very UNLIKELY to happen at IFA 2017.
Anonym, 28 Jun 2017Again, smartphone cameras aren't meant to be the "be all end all" of photography, they are des... moreAgain I didn't say that Auto Mode shouldn't be improved, just that it's not a major factor for a device.
If you miss it, then it's your reflex, not the phone's camera. And btw, Sony has the Predictive Capture feature that nobody has, which captures everything even before you managed to take it.
That's the point-and-shoot that I'm talking about, not just how the image looks, because a short time of taking a sudden moment will always end up a big mess because of the little time to capture it well.
Bebe Rexha, 28 Jun 2017Suddenly an article about Sony's Open Devices Program went to a Sony camera issue getting fixe... moreAgain, smartphone cameras aren't meant to be the "be all end all" of photography, they are designed to take the most out of magical daily-life moments. This means you either can take the phone, point and shoot or you'll just miss the shot altogether (because real-life doesn't wait for you neither has a replay button).
It's a silly argument to defend the need to tweak every photo in a smartphone camera, even professional photographers (to which tweaking is second nature and a constant of life) agree. -- tweaking is great when you do it by choice, if you have to do it all the time (in a camera like this) then the camera is broken.
AnonD-550433, 28 Jun 2017I feel you. Has a z3c and a z5 and they were both terrible in the camera departament. I had to... moreYou are lying. I use Z5. The quality of picture is much better than the the photos from Chinese and Samsung smartphones. Don't just say for the sake of saying guy! L
Suddenly an article about Sony's Open Devices Program went to a Sony camera issue getting fixed, which IMO doesn't really need that much tweaking at all.
You know cameras are never built to be just pointing and shooting. You don't use that green button on DSLRs when taking professional photos. The amazing photos that you see that were being shot by a high end camera, also has undergo the settings tweaking process before achieving that result.
Even if others could take better shots in Auto, they will never match the quality images of a person with ideas of photography settings.
Not to say that their Auto Mode shouldn't be improved, just that it isn't a huge thing to talk about, considering that my usage of the normal XZ in artificial lighting with S. Auto 20mp resolution, gave me an extremely detailed shot that even the S7/S7 Edge and S8/S8+ will fail to match up.
Please Sony do something about this camera issue. You will soon be out of the game
Mark, 28 Jun 2017Event his won't help if you have a crappy camera in your flagship device. I really, really ... moreYou've just answered to your own question. They are the biggest camera sensor supplier, nearly all phones use some of their sensor. By making their flaghip sensor perfect and above competition (which they can, with the help of Alpha team) other OEMs would be forced to look elsewhere (or develop their own) to top that sensor, and that means a LOT less money for Sony.
AnonD-550433, 28 Jun 2017I feel you. Has a z3c and a z5 and they were both terrible in the camera departament. I had to... moreYou are absolutely right. I couldn't get why all the cameras on my Xperia Z, Z1, Z2, Z3 were fuzzy! I'd go, really, Sony?!!
First of all, well done to Sony for this (and more). And yes as the article well said too, Samsung could definitely learn a thing or two (or maybe even more) from the developer community. It sure could find some helpful new or more polished tips for its software optimization.
Mark, 28 Jun 2017Event his won't help if you have a crappy camera in your flagship device. I really, really ... moreI feel you. Has a z3c and a z5 and they were both terrible in the camera departament. I had to go in manual and struggle to tweak the settings ( without any knowledge of photography). On auto the quality felt like owning a cheap chineese phone with a 5 mp blurry camera.
Mark, 28 Jun 2017Event his won't help if you have a crappy camera in your flagship device. I really, really ... moreThe camera is great actually, just because the lowlight need a tripod(means no ois) to get best picture doesn't mean it inferior
Event his won't help if you have a crappy camera in your flagship device.
I really, really can't get it why Sony - the main manufacturer in the world of the camera sensors for phones - can't get this right in their own device.
What about Sony's plan of 3D Face Recognition?
People say that Samsung and Apple provides the best security features on a smartphone.
Someone could cut your finger and unlock your phone right away, but changing your face will cost a lot of dollars.
Samsung cant joint, sony in higher class technology.
Japanese wont lose. Btw try both flagship, sony much better
