My friend's S8 replaced by the new one just because of the red tint issue even it's quite minor. Many things had been happened here and many people satisfied.

Despite have best UI (best way to work with pro settings), with Nougat they removed swipe to see latest photos without opening Gallery. So it always takes time to load Gallery.

Why is Samsung so bad at software?
I would have thought they would a little effort into their flagship devices.
I have seen smaller China companies making phones, with lower spec SoC, running more fluid than Samsung.

Though when it comes to TouchWiz, i have to say that Marshmallow and Nougat TouchWiz is one of best shell out there. Well optimized, nicely looking, very light with bit touch of nice soft colors.
Only problems with TouchWiz i have is lack of phone number formatting in Dialer making all phone numbers difficult to read, lack of call log grouping in Dialer and inability to turn off annoying vibration in Calculator. Aside that i do use TouchWiz apps rather than ugly on depressive colors and very laggy Google apps. Even Dialer. Use it now instead of ExDialer. Though it has logs easier to read with formatting, but TouchWiz Dialer is just nicer. Much lighter and sleeker.

My S8 is butter smooth. And I own Ip6, LG G2 and S8. The S8 is the fastest of them all. The S4 was a mess, but since S6 I'm happy with Touch Wiz. (allways room for more, better,...)

I must confess though I do use a folio case (otterbox strada) and it's so convenient, I can open the case and unlock the phone at the same time....... brilliant, it's like my wee party trick ...... people actually think I have magic powers..... honestly you should see peoples faces when I do it.......Im thinking of going on 'Britain's Got Talent' with it ....think it will go down a treat..... well it's something different.

I have install custom rom from s2 to s7. Same problem. Lag after a few month. From that , I know the problem with TouchWiz. No matter how YouTube reviewer said that it's good and beautiful. But in reality, for a normal user, I doubt you want to reset your home every 3 month, coz basically only factory reset will make it smooth again.

Sometimes I watch Anime on YouTube and the visual quality is typically less then 480 P, however, I don't own a 4K tv, PC, or handset.

It's better to have a little lag (which in turn will be fixed) than buying phones with unreliable service supports. Only Samsung is currently have good supports in Indonesia. Sony? Pfff... unreliable products (battery and LCDs broken within one year) and bad service supports (here). With this relatively high price please don't compromise.
Alternatively, iPhone (but U'r life will be restrained by its iOS limitations).

i dont know what u guys do with the phones.. but i guess i have around 50 apps on my phone and i have absolutley no problem and no lag.! only thing that i dont like is that bixby..

I saw this lag when swiping up to open app drawer on Exynos versions and it's catastrophic. Lag is so bad that if I was S8 owner I'd be in shame to show phone menu to other people. And I'm serious about that. Samsung needs to fix it as soon as possible. But knowing history of Samsung I seriously doubt that they will do it. Not because they don't want but because their software engineers are not capable.

Sony skin on top of android feels and works like stock. same size as iphone 7 plus so I dont care about bezel. proper 4k videos on youtunr.
