The only things that I can agree with you on are its rubbish browser and not so good keyboard. I hope Anna update will come soon.
Saying that "ALL the good apps have stopped updates long ago" and that nobody needs USB on-the-go is not far from trolling.
I'm sorry, but you don't have any point to make and are another nokia hater.
for god's sake people, enough with the OS war already. Each OS has is strength and weakness people.
Symbian is slow and unattractive compared to others
Android is still a resource and battery hog OS
IOS is more restrictive than the Alcatraz prison, same goes with WP7
Bada is getting the cold shoulder.
Just chill and enjoy your devices people!
Anonymous, 03 May 2011can you list these "2x" capabilities you speak of? I keep hearing you nokia fanboys ... moreThey can't give you any example.
Symbian requires a lot to get it into a usable state, so Nokia fanboys associate that work with "customization"... it's always, "browser is bad but download another one", "This is not working so you have to do that", "You have to go here and get that in order to get that working".
And when something works perfectly out of the box without the need for any fiddling, they associate that with dumbphones...
"iPhone browser works, does not freeze on websites and requires no downloading of another browser? Pfff what a simple, stupid phone!"
"Using an email app does not require patches, updates to work? Pfff, iPhone has no features."
"The UI looks great so does not require hours of Internet search to find a decent third party theme to replace this garbage Nokia includes? wow, iPhone is so locked down, no customizations at all."
By the time Symbian and Nokia users are done finally setting up their phones, iPhone and Android users are already working with data, sending emails, browsing the web, tweeting, whatever... they are not trying to make the phone usable, they are using the phone to do things.
As for Symbian's special features... like USB-on-the-Go(which Galaxy S II already has) and HDMI(Galaxy S II), who needs them!? Symbian sucks at what really matters nowadays, browsing, email, keyboard, music player, Nokia is terrible at all those. Have you checked Ovi Store? It's filled with garbage, all the good apps have stopped updates long ago(S60v3 era). But hey, you can impress your friends by connecting a flash drive to your phone, wow!

I doubt many of us who actually post on comment section here really cares that Nokia sells 80 million phones that cost around 60 euros do we? As of currently Nokia's smartphone market share is at 26%, they're no longer "tops" in that regard. Unlike Nokia, Nintendo still has huge support when it comes to software development. Nintendo sells tons of wii's due to the unique controller and it's mobile gaming system due to user experience. Nintendo is more comparable to android/iOS as its user experience is much more enjoyable. The only thing Nokia and Nintendo have in common is they were both pioneer's in their markets. Nokia is already behind in both market share, software, and hardware development.
too bad, now it is not too late for nokia to release some phones to fight against the galaxy s2

Yes, they are lagging in software development. Yes, they are nowhere near as popular with enthusiasts like us as they were. But to say that as a company Nokia is behind is as ridiculous as saying that Nintendo is behind. Nintendo, like Nokia, *is* behind the competition when it comes to tech. But, like Nokia, it's dominating its market and as a company, that's called "being ahead"
SOLID SNAKE, 03 May 2011I dont mean to be rude but you need a reality check. Nokia is far behind the competition now a... moreWhat's funny is that when you people say "Nokia is so far behind" you never offer any proof of it. I guess it's easy to just repeat the same old mantra without having to back up your words.
When you are forced to give a reason, you just say "outdated UI". That's it?
Please stop spreading all that BS, it's cliche already.
SOLID SNAKE, 03 May 2011I dont mean to be rude but you need a reality check. Nokia is far behind the competition now a... moreThe Samsung Galaxy S2 does not have a better camera than the N8 not even close as for Nokia going down hmmm well considering they are gonna start making Windows phones i don't think you can say that yet a phone like the N8 running WP7.5 Or WP8 would be pretty much unmatched.

Nokia is far behind the competition now and the only thing i would have given a credit to n8 was the camera. However, that too is behind now (SGS II is one example). Nokia is going down and even this prretty pink cant save their market share anymore. I used to love the nokias and i was even considering buying an n8 while i had my iphone 4 but then nokia decided to hit the kill switch on symbian and that was my end.
Android is the next ios and the fact it already has so many manufacturers banking in it, it will lead the pack in no time.
The perfect phone would be Nokia N8/E7 with Android, dual core CPU and more RAM.
Perfect software meets perfect hardware :)

Haters as always talking none sense, the fact that Nokia releases another color for the n8 just tells us about the success on sales, just like the black or pink Motorola razr v3 years ago, and now with iPhone 4 white and Nokia n8...have we seen any htc, se, Motorola, lg, or something with android having this kind of release after some time?, and don't come with the sgs white, becuz we all know this is just Samsung copying Apple and it's iPhone. U can say whatever u want, Nokia is still leading this sh!# no matter haters, and biased economic analysts say with their deviated and beaten mobile market forecasts...
Lol all the cracks at Nokia are all about the CPU. Which runs Symbian 3 flawlessly and doesnt need 3GHZ Quad Core just to move somewhat decently. Lol!!!

love the sissy pink

I bought a Galaxy S after my n8, tried it for a month and went back to my n8. Fact is n8 can do way more and using the Galaxy was like cutting off half my phone. Just doesn't hold up, yes Galaxy is more smooth, but I'll take less smooth and twice the abilities. N8 just does more than any andriod or apple phone ever made. In fact all andriods and apples still can't do what I could with my n95 out of box. Nokia isn't so behind really...
apparently, one of the t7Xh users seem to have abused the report button. Gah.
awesome phone, i love this than any other color though im q guy, and pink isnt just for ladies if this pink n8 is an object..lol
