SE's UI old? but look elsewhere if there are phone which nicely animates the menu GUI in 3D graphics anti-aliased. and also changes the layout animation and menu icons when used another theme..

Steve has a point, all of SE's main phones are a rehash of the shape of the T610i they need more form factors! Yet people complain about Motorola and their rehashing. Also SE needs to come away from 176x220 resolution screens.

I am with you on this one Steve. I still have my W800 because there wasn't any new release to make me change it. There have been some changes but those were small enough not to make me give a lot of money for a new phone (always had pluses and minuses, never only pluses). I am not saying this is bad, I am just saying that there is indeed a reluctance to bring in something new and really interesting. On the other hand SE is right to target the middle-range phones because this where most of the users are.

I still hope SE will release a "W" with 3.2 MP camera, with a shutter if possible.

SE makes some great phones, reliable, simple and efficient. There is a saying: "When something works well, let it work." Apparently SE marketing policy works well for them.

I'm not a 'fan' of anyone! How can I be a fan of a manufacturer? You have to be incredibly sad to label yourself a 'fan'. Fact is, all of SE's announcements have left me shaking my head. W610 - mildly enhanced version of W810, K810 - a silly looking smaller version of the K800, W880 - laughably poor design running the same old SE UI. Do you see where I'm going here? SE hasn't really taken major steps forward since the K750 which is two years ago now!

Nokia are just as bad but at least they are not afraid to try something different.

Rather pointless what with the W610 announced only a few weeks ago. I'm getting sick of all these samey handsets! And people have the nerve to complain that Nokia lack innovation!

Fine design and great features but I`ll be waiting whether SE will build follower of W550i or more eccentric fone.

I hope the black edition doesn't have much frills unlike the red one so that it can fit the hand of men too..A class looking phone though whatever said & done.
