AnonD-674516, 30 Jun 2017Will the real OP fan please stand up??...Ohh i see you..Nevermind:):):) Not a fan, per se. I do believe they need to improve in a few departments like customer service, but I think they're doing fine for a relatively young company. I personally haven't been able to recreate this jelly effect issue, or it is just unnoticeable. The way it's been demonstrated in the youtube video in question, no one uses their phone that way. I don't understand why we've made such a fuss about this. This is definitely not reason enough to return the phone.

Anders, 30 Jun 2017Wow, best comment ever. Couldn't have said it better myselfI have a OnePlus 5 with no screen issue and use it as my main phone. It's exceptional. My connection and experience to the phone is my benchmark and it passes with flying colors.

It's seems that the jelly effect affects side scroll animations too, from the middle to the bottom compared to the middle-up:

It's the first video where I've seen it. It is likely to affect the area around which you press.

Hey, customer service and QC are two corners OnePlus cut to make your phone cheaper. In addition to not having a design team, waterproofing, 2x zoom lens, RGB display, stereo speakers, wireless charging, microSD slot and smaller than 3T.

Remember OnePlus said 5 is gonna be smaller than 3T? It is bigger isn't it.

HAHAHA... Newsflash OnePlus..! This isn't China, people all over the world buy your devices, so you better up your game because real people in non-we-steal-everyone's-intellectual-property countries don't settle for this kind of customer service

It shows that what standard does oneplus follows. It's a hardware problem which they can't correct so mentioning that it's natural. Using substandard quality screen has resulted into this. I applaud Samsung in this case, they atleast had the courage to accept their mistake and correct it.

                      Shame oneplus.

Very strange if this is normal, my OP3 and OP3T was not then normal, as I didn't see this effect on them? I smell excuses.

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2017I've had two Galaxy S4's and they both had this "jelly effect"... After that I've used Note 4 ... moreWhat year is this? Is it still 2013? Now processors are getting more powerful, s4 only has a snapdragon 600 and now, most phones are more advanced , like the OnePlus 5 having 835, one of the most powerful chipset in the market. An 835 having this jelly effect, are you serious? Then what about other phones using 835, like mi6 s8 etc... they don't have this jelly effect.
If OnePlus doesn't fix this problem, I bet lots of people will be disappointed. Maybe OnePlus just want to use cheap parts to cut cost. Hahah
