AnonD-640268, 30 Jun 2017Guys i found the jelly effect video check out https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2X50k9Bj9YIn a SoC as powerful as the SD835, that looks a lot like a software issue that can be easily by tweaking the animations / fixing the renderer... Can't even understand why OnePlus started rambling about the screen (hardware), are you sure that is the issue at hand?

I've had two Galaxy S4's and they both had this "jelly effect"... After that I've used Note 4 (w/o issues) and now S8 (w/o issues).
Back when I've had S4's nobody talked about this, but today it is not acceptable - why?

Yeah, it's totally natural and normal, despite the fact that none of my other devices got such an issue, lolz at these lame Chinese.

These phones are put together using off the shelf parts worth around US$75. There is virtually no quality control

Apparently, number 4 is considered unlucky in chinese because it resonates to words like "death & decease".

In fact i have read that in most of the buildings in china, the number 4 is not there on the elevator pad.

The curse effect of skipping a numerical generation.

Sony skipped the 4th Xperia Z, everything went down.
Samsung skiped the 6th Note, boom!
OnePlus skipped the 4th OnePlus, jelly!

Lesson: Don't skip a numerical generation, regardless of any traditional beliefs.

What? They said that it is natural. To mention even just myself, In I don't know how many years I'm using smartphones, internet, etc. But basically from the very beginning, AS I RECALL, I've never encountered something like that. In other words, so I don't think that it is natural. So it is quite clear that OP said that just to don't alarm the people (customers) and so to don't lose sales = profits, etc. Then eventually either they will just lieve It like that (obviously 100% negative) or they will put a fix for it in the next update or so, obviously stealthy (without saying nothing). But obviously that just can happen (if they?) if it is a software issue, heqq but if it is a hardware, than it is an even much more a problem, and needless to say that it will be a 100% not fair for the customers (owners, etc, of the 5). But at least, what customers can do is, that they specify on which sites, apps, etc, they are encountering with this issue, because at least, although it won't mean that it is natural anyway. But at least it will be clear if all OP5's are experiencing the same thing, because if not? And so just some of them, than it will be even much much more evident that there is absolutely nothing natural.

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2017It seems like a software method to prevent glitching, by slowing down high density contentIn that case as not all units do that you can figure equally that they could be installing a software to hide a hardware defect in those units rather than dealing with the supplier, in the case of the display, with Samsung about it. Warranties, money...

2GB today is the actually minimum amount of RAM for an Android Smartphone.
