Both Huawei and LG are the only ones who have gotten this right so far... telephoto lens seems so inneficient currently and bokeh seems like something they could add alongside the 2nd lens but with another function already on it.
i like all the effects,so hard to decide.
hope a smartphone will have all the effects in the future
telephoto lens is the least useful, although can be good for taking sneaky shots from afar.
Was looking for the "Meh!" option as what I really wish is one huge sensor (by phone standard), say, at 1/2" coupled with very bright lense, OIS, and clever oversampling tech like Nokia's PureView.
With that said though, perhaps I would go with telephoto option to accompany the main big camera.
Btw, lest people forget about the 2014 HTC One M8......

2nd Cam is... moreTry to fit a DSLR in your jeans'/normal pants' pocket.
I had many DSLRs. In the end, I decided to stick with a Sony RX100 as I can take it anywhere.
Concerning phones, wide lens is the best (I have an LG G5) and it's really useful though I love telephoto but ~50mm is really nothing. Once they reach 75+ mm, then it will be more worth it.
I still miss the 10x on the Samsung K Zoom.
Nikon DSLR and Nikon 35mm Film dual setup
2nd Cam is Wide FoV: For Tourists, Landscape, Monument & Action Photography.
2nd Cam is B&W with no Bayer filter: For Low-light, Night-time & Long Exposure photography.
2nd Cam is Telephoto lens: For Lossless Zoom & Artistic Bokeh (Selective Focus) effects.
S7, S8, U11 & Pixel: You don't need dual camera's to be the king of mobile photography.
DSLR: All of the above & infinitely more.
normal + telephoto is the most awesome, because the 2x zoom feature and portrait mode are real deal-breakers in most conditions. wide-angle + normal can be interesting, but it's hard to know when it's great to use. RGB + monochrome is pure non-sense because it's even harder to know when it's great to use.
None of them.
Just made one with optical zoom 4x
why not 5 lens(primary, wide, tele, monochrome & infrared for ar) camera setup
that way we can have best of every world ;)) ...
The next iPhone of course :)
Dual camera like from Huawei, but I prefer to have 24mp + 2mp pair. Same Monochrome (24mp) + Color (2mp) but with larger aperture (both f1.4) and larger sensor size (both 1/2.3").
I don't mind the lack of OIS, as has been proven by the Google Pixel phones.
my favorite is single cam setup bc all dual cam phones look ugly AF .
I prefer wide angle lenses. That's my opinion tho.
