Actually No... moreYes, technology and firmware changes are coming, I agree.
But talking about update "Anna", update "Anna" is just a cheap way (trick) to show that they still support Symbian. In other words update "Anna" was just a thrown bone without meat to quench hungry for updates crowd.
Also I think that all upcoming NOKIA phones with Symbian OS, it is just a marketing trick to squeeze the last juices from Symbian OS and make some money without much hassle from something old and without a future. Now NOKIA is throwing all the forces to the Windows Phone OS in their devices and NOKIA phones wit Symbian OS are just without a future.
(Of course it is just mine opinion.)

Those who r complaining about the not-so-convincing-specs of this ORO thing r making a ridicule of themselves. C'mon! A person who can afford the luxury of spending 1600 bucks for a PHONE will care plenty more about the fancy outwear rather than the specs. It's simple! I have money and I want to show off my might. So what do I do? Buy a fancy looking piece of gold which can function as a wireless telephone. Anything else does really matter? I don't think so. Whatever I get from a piece of golden architecture except telephony should be considered as bonus. In that way, C7 as the parent of ORO doesn't really matter much...

Actually Nokia has recently partnered with Microsoft for Nokia will release WP7 phones and will also release Meego powered phones so yes there is actually new technology and firmware changes coming. They recently released the Symbian Anna which apparently you are unaware of.
So yes there are changes to Nokia..

When you spend about what $1600, why not choose N8 as the parent phone? It would have been great!
BTW I use an N8 already. And enjoying it.
