AnonD-695, 04 May 2011"then i'd be forced to call FM transmitter a much bigger gimmick. There is no practical a... morejust because YOU dont use a feature, doesnt mean it is useless or a gimmick. FM transmission is still better quality than bluetooth. I cant believe some people are actually stupid enough to complain about a feature included that they dont use, instead of complaining about a feature they need but is not there.

NOKIA C7 isn't a prestige class phone and that's mean there was no reason to dress this phone with fancy clothes. People who cares about a prestige won't buy it even with golden clothes.

          In simple words:

Prestige Phone + Golden Clothes = Extra Prestige
Simple Phone + Golden Clothes = FAIL!

[deleted post]1) There is also many types of malware on Symbian OS.
            2) NOKIA and other phones with Symbian OS also tend to lag and rebot.

what i want from a phone is functionality, usability, very good build quality , very good screen and with quality controlled applications. and the price ofcourse. i dont like fancy stuff magic touch gimick and low quality applications like fruit ninja compared to fruit slice (you know what i mean) that andriod has to offer. and in terms of build quality, steel beats plastic any day. in the same price range, no other phone can beat C7.. i repeat, for the same price range..

i believe good os is the one that can offer good usability and functionality. not touch magic..

C7 with Android and auto focus camera can compete with SE arc, but its like Nokia management dancing with fancy dress. Making fool of themself

[deleted post]"then i'd be forced to call FM transmitter a much bigger gimmick. There is no practical application of it other than in a car, where FM transmitter is just one of the MANY ways you can listen to music."

i dont see that as a marketing gimmick cause it actually give you MORE choices to listen ur music. at least their not BSing like what they are doing with super lcd

"Samsung Galaxy and WAve phones have Wolfstein sound chip and DNSE technology from samsung, and its sound quality is nothing short of exceptional."

the n8 doesnt even need to boast about their sound chip and yet the sound quality is already at a audiophile level.

"About Maps, you have the Google MAps 5 which offers offline navigation, vector graphics, 3D view, street view and is much more smoother thanks to 1Ghz processor."

'offline mode' isnt exactly offline for google maps, you will still need to connect to the net. and as far as i remembered, the 'cached maps' are only used for mapping, not navigation. and ovi maps is smooth even with a 680mhz processor especially in the newer 3.07 version

"Samsung has already updated galaxy S i9000, so this one will get one pretty fast."

doesnt work that way mate. the galaxy sl is still considered as another model even though they boast almost the same hardware. and knowing samsung the update might not even arrive at all

"About battery, GSL has an extra 450 mAH of juice, which I believe should make up for the low battery efficiency of android froyo."

bla bla, numbers, numbers. i want REAL LIFE BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE

What else can be expected from nokia...they cant' manufacture anything innovative...they are surviving just on their name...what they think...polishing a device with gold will make any difference? yes...the well to do show-off class of people sure will admire it...but nokia have proved how hopeless and rubbish manufacturers they are...dnt think these are the words from an androider...i myself have been fooled long since i bought my first handset till my present nokia N900...but now...i see the reality...they are ditchers...bring new operating systems...announce their high plans...then jump on another boat ditching the user who just bought a pricey handset hoping great support from the manufacturer...first symbian, then maemo, then meego(still under development), then symbian 3 and now windows...they r really hopeless and produce sets with outdated hardware...my advice to everyone...never buy any nokia...so that they learn a good lesson.

I think I'm the only one who wants a new 88xx series phone. I really have no interest in touch. Actually, forget the Artes and the s40 lot... How about a snazzy version of the E52? That is already a good looking phone, but give it the nice material treatment and I'd drool over it.
