This youtuber said OP5 can reach 10 min, U11 6 min, S8 10 min.
G6 seems to have software limit too, but he is not sure.

Akinaro, 04 Jul 2017and 99% of people will be recording their dogs/cats or make shaky videos of their friends and ... moreand 1% or people (like me) want a smartphone able to do these. Im making movies with my z5 since i have it. And im planning to make a full short movie as well.

Have to say though, we never needed to record for more than 5 minutes, because we record scenes.

Lex79, 04 Jul 2017What problem? According to the Sony fans there never was any issue to solve.........umm of course there wasn't. xperias used to record 4k for longer than the 5min mark of other phones since 4k introduced in xperias. So what's to fix?

i have my doubts about the xzp recording for that long though.

Surficial, 04 Jul 2017Problem noted and solved. Nice one sony!I agree.
Sony obviously solved one of the biggest smartphone problems of today with this graphite plate solution inside XZ Prem ... SoC performance drops and trottling due to heatup....
Do also watch Ericas XZ Prem reviews on yt.... its quite impressive how it keeps framerates consistently high on GPU heavy games, as opossed to other flags. Almost no SoC throttling.

As many here claimed, only Xperias overheat due to "crap EIS camera"....

AnonD-39937, 04 Jul 2017You know...XZ Premium has a microSD card slot with up to 256GB, so you can record nearly half ... moreEven with SD card no matter how big the storage is the battery life will be the true limits. They should had tested that too. Put 256gb storage in there and see how long can it record before the battery dies out. Storage is not the only issue here. Battery life need to be considered too when recording 4k video. 4k recording drain battery very fast as I know. 1 hour 42 minutes without plugging in? I highly doubt it. Like I said, 4K recording on a phone need time limit. Either way your storage runs out or your battery dies out.

AnonD-652708, 04 Jul 2017Also tell us about maximum time of slow motion recording. 120/240 fps or the new 720 fps?

Just saying because on first two its easily can fill up the full phone memory and on 720 fps well no others phone can do it so even if its less than 30 sec you still have the ability to do it.
