These trademarks are now Microsoft Properties, the technology stays with Nokia.
Back to Future, 07 Jul 2017No matter what handset Nokia makes, it just cant compete with Xiaomi, Samsung, Xperia etc the... moreNokia is mostly a Research and hardware company. Yes, meego should return in it's glory but i don't think this will happen.but, who knows...
I heard that trademark of purview is with ms .Nokia still has the right to use preview technology.
Back to Future, 07 Jul 2017No matter what handset Nokia makes, it just cant compete with Xiaomi, Samsung, Xperia etc the... moreNokia works with xiaomi you know that? It can be mid-priced Carl Zeiss phone as well.. and Carl Zeiss still have the best optics and even nokia N95 with 5 mp can compete with the galaxy j5 2016 WTF wake up man
Mzma PIB, 06 Jul 2017PureView I dont think so coz read somewhere.. HMD Global official said they didn't request Pur... moreEven, actually, Nokia doesn’t have pureview brand anymore. It’s now with MS.
Same with “polarized display” Nokia used on 6,5,3 that is actually ClearBlack. Bcause the brand belongs to MS now.
Nokia maybe would consider a new name. Like, PureVision Camera. and PureBlack Display
Nokia also have PureMotion Refresh Rate tech that brings 60Hz RR to smartphone where others brand still on 30Hz RR.
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2017Give us: OS base on Maemo / MeeGo like these: N900/N9 Build quality like this: Lumia 1020 ... moreAre you serious? MeeGo is dead and buried, get over it, and Sailfish couldn't save it. Android is the future.
Back to Future, 07 Jul 2017No matter what handset Nokia makes, it just cant compete with Xiaomi, Samsung, Xperia etc the... moreThat's not true. You do realise that Nokia still has one of the largest loyal fanbases you can find. Also Chinese brands like Xiaomi are pretty much non-existant in the west. Nokia have a great opportunity.
A lot of Nokia fans will be rejoicing at the return of the Zeiss lens.

"Nokia will die out soon"
"Boring Chinese phones with Nokia branding"
"They just want to milk fans, they won't make any flagships"
C'mon lads amuse me even more.
PS: Nokia 808 and 1020 still have the best phone camera even today. DxOMark is a joke on cam phone evaluasion. Just a loyal 808 user saying.
Dual camera? But will they make a Mobil under 5"? Dare they?
It won't hurt to try. Nokia is still nokia. You'll never know what will happen. So, instead of being negative, just support them. The competition seems fun.
No matter what handset Nokia makes, it just cant compete with Xiaomi, Samsung, Xperia etc
they have loyal followers now
Nokia should stop handset business and create 3rd OS platform
NOS = a superslim api powered OS for all types of device which can run windows, android and ios apps
this will be the future
And....MeeGo! ?! xD
"Previously we saw Zeiss optics in the Nokia 808 PureView and Lumia 1020 with staggering 41 MP sensors - arguably the best cameraphones of their time." i would say it's arguably the best cameraphones even TODAY (minus video part since it doesnt do 4K). Nowadays, the only thing arguably other oems do better with their flagships' camera is processing pictures to be pleasing for viewing.
Truely the brothers are back! NOKIA-ZEISS awesome
Yep, that's the Nokia we knew and loved! I really hope to see Nokia succeed, and those chocolate bar phone lovers shutting up!
