apple removed the headphone jack so that the companies interested in using their lightning port for a headphone would need to pay royalties to them. so why themselves aren't paying royalties to others?

It's about time for Apple to get out anyways. I can't figure for the life of me how anyone can use it without navigational buttons. Plus, they're buying AMOLED screens (if I remember correctly) from Samsung. I respect Steve Jobs, but his company's gone south, the only person who could save Apple now is Andy Rubin.

Qualcomm is dead. Apple don't do business with companies that it is fighting and unless Qualcomm have a monopoly on modem (which it does not), Apple won't use Qualcomm's modem in the future. Android OEMs are also moving away from Qualcomm because of the high price it charges for SD modems in the US and blocking Exynos from being used in the US.

Only from the iPhone 4 sales towards the end of 2010 Apple started to boom big time in the mobile phone business. Before that there was only BlackBerry (and Motorola) in North America and Nokia in the rest of the world.

Everything in an Apple's product were more or less first found in other mobile devices, in a bad and dirty way to be exact. They weren't any inventions made by Apple. They just copied everyone and sue anyone who were trying to stop them from making money.

Apple and invention not supposed to be in the same sentence when it come on to smart phone. Apple invent nothing except for inventing the way of how to take pieces of real inventors inventions and put them together and make the iPhone. Everything you saw on an iPhone as been around years before you see it on the iPhone. Yes, give them credit for taking some of the best phone features out there and put them together but they must pay for using other people invention

In the end of this day Apple is illegally using 'technology' which is patented to Qualcomm and they refused to pay for it. Qualcomm will surely wins this case.
