Dual camera is a gimmicks to gain profits, because no new technology keep tall. Think again if they technology is high-tech why should using 2 camera sensors to produce one image, even a single camera sensors already take multiple image at the same time and else.

Monochrome pictures of city landscapes in the night are absolutely beautiful. Who doesn't love that. That's why I love Huawei devices.
telephoto like iphone 7 is good but oneplus just fool people with its telephoto method .. lg and huawei method both are good ideas for using dual camera .
Ew. Monochrone cameras are quite useless. It's better to have awesome wide angle than slightly better (maybe) photo in low light, or slightly better than filtered black ans white photo.

So the solution is a wide angle lens with a secondary monochrome lens? The primary wide angle lens would have to be top quality and decent zoom.

Useless monochrome
bob, 09 Jul 2017Why not quad cam?
Wide angle lens+monochrome lens+colour lens+telephoto lens?Best idea ever.
10/10
My order from the best to the worst:
For overall (DSLR and mobile phone):
1) wide angle
2) telephoto lens
3) monochrome
For a MOBILE PHONE only:
1) telephoto lens
2) wide angle
3) monochrome
why? Monochrome for low light situation is useless which is the opposite of the majority of the results of this poll, I don't always capture photos outside in the night with low light, even if I do, the dual lens for monochrome is not needed as many flagships can capture low light photos good enough. (unless you are on a travelling holiday trip, which you should be bringing a DSLR camera for that)
On the other hand, telephoto lens for zooming is more needed for easily portable devices such as a smartphone, since a DSLR camera is too bulky to carry around. Having a portable devices capable of optical zooming can be useful used in many situations such as working in the offices, at home and many more. It is better to use a smartphone for any near object zooming than using a DSLR camera for that.
Next, I can easily use an external wide angle lens for mobile phones, especially work on iPhone. Wide angle photos are normally more used on situations like travelling holiday trips, it is better that you use your DSLR camera to capture wide angle photos for higher quality, so don't need wide angle for smartphone.
Well, interesting ranking. Apart that but related, who knows which one (dual cam setup, obviously if so) will Samsung use for the Note 8?
single cam with normal and wide angle function
I'm still missing the old Nokia 808 and Lumia 1020 class-leading cameras.
Nokia and Sony should make great mobile cameras like these again, even if it means that the phones will need to get 10mm thick just to accommodate the hardware. I'm using a Zenfone Max, a 10mm thick device, and even with a thin rubber case, I don't feel like it's bulky, except it's heavy, but that's because of the insane battery capacity.
Not only does thickness give off more space for better hardware, but also increase the rigidity of the device to bends. Ask me how I know, the Nokia 3310 will help explain it to you.
bob, 09 Jul 2017Why not quad cam? Wide angle lens+monochrome lens+colour lens+telephoto lens? You'll get your quad cam for a quad digit price.
