It's ridiculous for Samsung to block this is the US market until they actually get Bixby working here. Quite lame.

TechLover1, 10 Jul 2017To say it again and again. If Samsung wants the dedicated Bixby hard button to be only and exc... moreThey cannot finalize it. Software is extremely hard. Hardware companies (like Samsung) think that hardware is harder, that's any their software is always subpar.

With their kind of attitude they can't finalize anything, software is an order of mag itude harder than hardware and they treat it on the same level. Like any past Samsung's attempts on software , Bixby will fail.

Software is hard, expensive and has a huge overhead on personnel. Things that Samsung is unable or unwilling to pay attention to.

Basically why I never buy Samsung unless they are unlockable (increasingly they're less so). Their great hardware is kept down by the software. Each generation they are the slowest by far, most restricted android , bad colours in photos ... A great looking product with sub par feeling, experience of using it. Exactly what you would expect from a company over hear head.

For that alone there are much better phones out there...

Keeping auto update disabled until remapping is working again.

What is wrong with Samsung? They promised factory-enabled button remmaping, and only they didn't deliver on that, they are activly blocking software that tries to do so?? Get your grip together Samsung.

To say it again and again. If Samsung wants the dedicated Bixby hard button to be only and exclusively for their Bixby virtual assistant (& so not remapped), it's okay, I mean the S8 (duo, etc) is their creation. But AT LEAST they must completely finalize it (until then), and sooner rather than later, and not just blocking the remapping.
