Why so much hate? I will always choose one of the Q6 variants for my parents or I will recommend to any guys that are not very technical and are not using the phone processor intensively. For me, right now, Q6 is the only option when I will have to buy a phone as a gift for anyone in my family.
Of course it would be great to have a better camera setup and a better soc, but LG must sell their phones, all of them, they don't want to shoot themselves in the foot with a phone that will cannibalize their flagship.

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2017its 435 not 430 and yes its midrange 200 series is low end 400 is mid 600 upper mid 800 f... moresnapdragon 430 & 435 is the same. Same CPU speed, Same GPU speed. The only different is, snapdragon 430 use the X6 modem (150mbps download max, 75mbps upload max), where's the 435 use the X9 modem (300 mbps download max, 150 upload max).

Such a good idea, spoiled with the lower end processor and a single camera, compared with the original G6. I agree that lg should have used at least the s660 and an equal, if not better, camera ...

i can't get LG's and HTC's marketing strategy. It's simple, don't use low end 4xx CPU in you phones, if you use a "bezelless" design and charge more then 100€ for it. Also don't fire a 5,5" screen on low end but rather have one 4,6", one 5,0" and one 5,2" Keep everything else for your high or mid end phones.

LG should use SD660 but it couldn't coz G6 use SD821 and performance between SD660 Vs SD821 not much..
For fair should be Q6a SD435, Q6 SD630 & Q6+ SD660.. but this is not LG business strategy coz can see from G6 itself.. variant diff only RAM & Storage capacity..

just because some trolls think its not good enough doesnt mean its low end
you cant always get flaship soc
just because $100 phone doesnt have 835 doesnt mean its bad it means its not for you
you want the best dont expect it to be in low or midrange phones like this go and buy $800 phone

at least give us SD450 like moto E4 and a 4000mAH.but spare the crappy iphone case style. prefer the old moto E style case(easy to remove batt even if its embedded and no hassle on dual sim / micro sd slot)

Nonsense.....chipset for a phone that could have been a winner. I don't know why such big and talented brands like LG and HTC do such things. We consumers can point out in a jiffy where they are going wrong and they tirelessly conduct countless board meetings and what not to discuss the abysmal performance of their products, sales and revenue and go on to make the same mistakes year after year. On top of that they are gonna ask a premium for it.
