Anonymous, 12 Jul 2017I'd be interested if it were a Nexus.i think Pixel was Nexus. just rebranding strategy for all Google line-up (Chromebook Pixel)
i have Nexus 7. what stop me from buying Pixel is the slanted design. Hopefully this one have flat body ... waiting for this
I hate round shaped finger print scanners. Its so common and lazy. create something square with a 2-3 blue or red led light as an indication. makes the phone look cool.
While the front bezels were finally mostly dealt with, the horrible design language on the back is still there. I'd say the biggest issue (apart from over pricing) is halfway fixed. Still not good enough to actually get one unless the phone actually delivers the tech worth the price this time around.
Not interested if:
- lacks front stereo speakers
- lacks 3.5mm headset jack
Which looks like what this device will bring.
The "squeeze" functions I couldn't care less.
I also don't like the look and feel of that half-glass/half-metal backplate. Or the unusual aspect ratios. But I could live with it.
Let's see if there's going to be a ZTE Axon 8 !!
RaZa, 12 Jul 2017Since this isn't the final design, hopefully the top and bottom bezels get reduced more. Also,... moreIt seems like this is the Pixel's new signature rear design since Google is reusing it again, probably for both models.
Trump fan 1980, 12 Jul 2017 TechLover1 was laughing at you. do I look like I care?
Fitbri, 12 Jul 2017Interesting. This Pixel is LG, the smaller one to come out is HTC. Google using HTC touch sens... moreThe rumours make no sense, the bigger one supposedly codenamed taimen which is chinese and has squeeze yet made by lg? Sounds like it was designed by htc yet made by lg?? Why would it use a chinese codename if designed by google? Crossed wires somewhere.
AnonD-39937, 11 Jul 2017Pixel 2 XL, you're going to be my next phone! TechLover1 was laughing at you.
This is what's happening if Samsung galaxy S8 and the first gen Pixel are having children. front is great. Back is hideous. lel
AnonD-659932, 11 Jul 2017Apparently the next pixel phones won't have a headphone jack. Why are these companies taking a... moreI thought I absolutely need a headphone jack until I've got a Bluetooth headset. Know what? It's much more convenient and I don't care about 3.5mm jack anymore.
Woo hoo! Bring it on, and this time, remember to include a decent level of water resistance, better speaker(s), and actual, normal availability, since they won't have been "rushed" this time, as they were with the first generation Pixels.
Interesting. This Pixel is LG, the smaller one to come out is HTC. Google using HTC touch sense squeeze innovation. I do admit I find the touch sense a bit interesting, especially as you don't need to always touch the glass. Great when you have gloves on in the northern winter, not just that but there is some practicality. Cant wait to see this years smaller HTC G Pixel
