Mind you we pay top dollar so we need tk have top acces to all the power under the hood with extra feature that compliment the device

There old inexpensive problem ridden phones. I really don't blame Google for not paying the licensing fees for 2+ year old devices. And I say that on a 6p running Android O beta. Features like this are not free when it's the hardware manufacturer developing them. The Bluetooth barely works on the 810 as it is.

It's just that this is a proprietary protocol from Qualcomm, it's out of the hands of Google. Qualcomm is the one that does not want to provide the support... they prefer you buy a new Qualcomm device.
Bad practice?
You bet! But Qualcomm's still better than the competition because they're worse in support and prevent the sharing of open-source drivers and documentation. Even Xiaomi is pissed with MediaTek, let alone RockChip, Allwinner, AMLogic, HiSilicon, or S-Exynos.
I bet the first one of the alternatives to properly embrace the open-source community will lose in short-term but outpace in the long-term. Remember +90% of the profits come from the developed countries and these smaller yet lucrative markets are the ones that care for open-source practices.

Even after reading this news I won't buy iPhone. iOS system is crap but a bit secure.

Let's say iOS maybe is a better optimized OS and is way faster and smoother than typical Androids (though the OP5, U 11, and XZ Premium beat the iPhone 7 Plus in speed) but what are you exactly going to do with those power under the hood?
For something you paid a flagship price, you should get what you expected.
It's 2017 already and it's ridiculous to not have basic functions such as downloading music from the browser, multitasking with split screen, or even able to control over the camera.
You iShepherds need to seek a doctor. Your one-sidedness is killing your creativity to think and be aware of everything.

The iPhone 7 gets at least another 4 years of updates, but I would bet 6 years as the S models always gets one update more before it dies. And here, only the last of 6 years gets not every new feature of newest iPhone.
