dengusoft, 17 Jul 2017That thing looks so alien-made..like it's a UFO part, looks scary though.I think it looks like some kind of Sci-Fi Alien spider eyes!
Anonymous, 17 Jul 2017Ugliest gadget I've ever seen. Those lenses look like they were placed randomly by a 2 yr old.But they weren't ;)
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2017And only Sony would design such a useless item....hahahaSony's innovations are mainly for Japan use only and expands internationally if given a chance. Because you are not in Japan and haven't tried living in Japan that is why you are so late of innovations. And speaking of innovations, you don't even have a bullet train in your country, don't you?

Luxor, 16 Jul 2017The phobia feels is too strong. The moment you show this to me dont get angry if I throw it on... moreDon't get angry when they do the same to you
Jeez, this scattered lens placement is giving me an one hell of an OCD overload...
Fayth, 16 Jul 2017why the lenses are so scattered? It was used a quantum algorithm to find their best position.
The phobia feels is too strong. The moment you show this to me dont get angry if I throw it on the floor and step on it. This is not going to work. Designer please. What you thinking? Trying to make piece of art or a real camera?
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2017Who said it was a crowdfunding project?Nobody, but wanted to make the clarification, as I have been following this project for a while, and in the beginning, quite a few viewed it with scepticism as they assumed it was some sort of Kickstarter project.

Also, just FYI, Light L16 was not a crowdfunding project, but a startup with some major brains at the helm. Rajiv Laroia the CTO founded Flarion, whose broadband technology became the global LTE standard.

This is not a DSLR replacement, but a new type of camera with multiple lens, which brings certain features not available to traditional cameras. Of course, image quality should be first and foremost, but the software allows this camera to do some clever things.
Some explanation of the tech and features here:

nice but i hope there will be some lens cover/protection..
Red Hydrogen One Android starts at 1300$ with modular accessories extra. They haven't even revealed any tech specs yet, but started taking pre-orders. very spooky !!! Does any body know, what that camera offers other than the acclaimed Holographic display? I remember the L16 and the last time I had a look at their website, The images took with the L16 looked crappy with lots of noise. This time, If the pictures in the gallery are from L16. it is remarkable. The decision to power up the L16 with a 3800Mah battery is very impressive as well.
AnonD-39937, 15 Jul 2017Never heard of it... But anyway, why should you use a device with 16 cameras with 52MP instead... moreThis is much more portable than a high end compact. And it is also much easier to use for a person with little to no knowledge about lenses.
