Who cares?

People wants ads. They love ad's. That's why they keep buying phones that deliver them.

Samsung has been putting ads in my S4's IR LED control app for almost a year now. Zero respect for their customers

HTC used to be a respectable and innovative smartphone manufacturer.. well that was the past. Not expecting any turnaround any sooner, seriously. :)

for those who are facing this problem, to remove the annoying ads, go to touchpal's general settings, scroll down towards the end and untick the "keyboard recommend".

My Samsung S7 also came with a pre-installed 3rd party keyboard which wants me to agree to steal my entered data and send it to some company. Same kind of bloatware, just no ads.

It is a limitation of non jailbroken IOS.They compress background apps(to keep them in RAM) so much so that the background apps cannot do anything but stay in RAM hence they(non system apps) cannot download or do basically anything.

And why would Google pay HTC for Gboard when HTC is not paying Google for Android, which probably save the company from extinction.
