What a disappointment on the design. It just looks like a nokia 5 and not a flagship phone.
Anonymous, 18 Jul 2017Nokia has always on display since 3310.. Even on Nokia 6 with LCD has always on display.. So, ... moreI googled it a bit and apparently the feature was called Glance on some Nokia/Lumia phones. Someone asked Nokia do their current phones have the Glance and Nokia replied on Twitter that 3/5/6 (all with non-amoled screens) do NOT have it. I haven't used any Nokia's WP phones but years ago E7 had a version of Glance/Always-on that I loved. I've understood the feature is not generally used on non-amoled screens because it's a huge battery drainer.
Jan, 18 Jul 2017Why is Nokia 6 5.5 inch schreen and Nokia 8 only 5.3Because not every flagship should have bigger number in everything. More importantly, how can you think like that? Come on, even my 7 y.o brother knows that better things isn't always "bigger".
Today phone with such huge bezels cannot be flagship. Maybe Fan Edition. Still no surprise from NokiaHMD, makes me also sad. 2:1 bezelless design and it would be great, back looks cool after all.
little awkward to see those huge bezels on top and bottom. If nokia feels itself a tier 1 brand then it has to make inventions apart from assembling the parts which most chinese manufacturers do.
Speedy , 18 Jul 2017Nokia 6 looks beter than Nokia 8, i think Nokia 9 will be the best phone Why is Nokia 6 5.5 inch schreen and Nokia 8 only 5.3

It's not a fingerprint reader on the screen. It's a hot key on the screen that's just like camera key on the lock screen. Probably you'll have to tap that first before swiping your finger on the fingerprint sensor to unlock.
Vineet290, 18 Jul 2017Now its not that Nokia... hmd is using same hardware what chinese do... Outdated MTK processor... moreExcept if you missed the point that the current lineup was only a market testbed, no one go big for the first try because in business sense that wouldn't worth the investment.
89 degrees, 18 Jul 2017I can't believe that this is going to be Nokias flagship phone for 2017. Spec wise it's up the... moreYeah except op5 looks a grand copy of iphone 7 so no one consider it nasty design choice.
AnonD-94869, 17 Jul 2017Chill out, this is not Nokia. It is a gimmickChillout, i heard some illiterate people being brand smug
I can't believe that this is going to be Nokias flagship phone for 2017. Spec wise it's up there with most, Except the screen... No infinity display and such an ugly design.
It looks so cheap and nasty, With so much competition out there even with dual Carl ziess lenses I don't think it's going to do well at all.
It makes the One plus 5 look so much better........
ssbatman21, 18 Jul 2017Lame argument.Because it reflects on reality?
None should brag about how they went into another product for late availability reasons and whatnot, if you want to buy just buy and if you don't just leave it, don't whine around like a little kid over their toys.
100% Photoshop , frds check photo of Nokia 8 , date 20 JUNE Thursday BUT 20 JUNE is Tuesday... check it .. lol
Anonymous, 18 Jul 2017quality and durability over design and trendNow its not that Nokia... hmd is using same hardware what chinese do... Outdated MTK processors, low end SD 430, ugly design. And is there anything new/special or innovative in new lineup???
If its is real, then its too ugly, and boring design
(https://nokiapoweruser.com/tag/nokia-8/) its better look than it.
Beautiful and elegant. Combined with Nokia legendary solidness and ozo it's going to kick ass understated style.
thisguy, 17 Jul 2017has no one noticed the fingerprint thing on the bottom left corner?? It isn't a shortcut. Just an indicator that animates when you, well, use the scanner. Pretty much every phone with a scanner has it, but it's usually in the center.
