Well that's no surprise. Haven't heard of anything Windows phone related in a long time. It's like Microsoft forgot about it and other manufacturers like LG, HTC and Samsung haven't made any new Windows phones either (at least not that I've heard). WP was already a shaky market. If they don't try innovating and pushing their phones out what do they expect?

That Indian guy at Microsoft is killing Microsoft. Steve Ballmer spent tens of billions getting Windows Mobile to 8~10% market share and he just killed it when he become CEO. It is only a matter of time before Apple and Google's own Office suite and cloud service take out Microsoft

Tom....., 18 Jul 2017I'm glad that Sony never face this kind of fate and will never be faced. Sony is a brand, not OS. Android's not going anywhere anytime soon, yes.

And after they pissed us of with the spyware-happy new windows, they are doomed either way, both desktop and mobile platforms will fail. Well unless they change their minds and come up with something we actually approve. Trying to force people to use windows 10 without actually liking it won't get them very far.

Effectively Satya Nadella has just joined
Stephen Elop and John Chen as another mobile phone platform killer CEO.
Now I hope no more killing fields of this kind will happen again in the future (there is nothing left to kill) until the smartphone itself becomes obsolete (like some fax machine or a CRT TV set).

I own the Nokia Lumia 1520 (currently bricked by firmware while upgrading to Windows 10 Mobile), the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL and HP Elite x3.
Despite many frustrations, NO REGRETS. Thanks for the memories. Just holding that HP device and listening to music directly from its speaker is worth it for my feel good factor.

ATM Microsoft isn't even producing phones nor focusing on mobile. They announced that Redstone 3 will be all about mobile devices though, so I expect a surface to launch around that time. A Lumia 950 XL user here, I have no complaints thus far.

Windows phone sucks completely and all those 0.1 % who are using it also sucks , Android and iOS are the best and advanced operating system in the entire world right now , windows phone and it's operating system should shut down by now ... Android and iOS are the best when it comes to multitasking , user interface , customization and as your daily driver device ...

Thats because Satya Nadela have a different vision for mobile. Far different from Steve ballamer. He wants to create a different catagoery of phones. Look at the surface devices now. Everybody's making 2 in 1.
