The sole reason Nokia's survived so far is thanks to this one country, whose population surpasses that of the whole of Europe combined, where, no matter how bad a Nokia product is, it's always going to sell.

Because they get more money for every phone they sell. But the problem is times are changing and Nokia haven't caught on. Nokia want to keep their Identity which i completey understand. They have 2 choice either start from the drawing board or get another OS to support them. which they have done.

They have decided to use some Windows 7 OS in their phones. Which they've basically admited that their Symbian OS is out of date. I still believe they've chose the wrong choice. but time will tell.

Its sad to see Nokia losing out like this i remember my first Nokia phone (3210).

If you can't say it out just please be silent cuz u totally have no idea what you talking about. 1st of all, I didn't adjust the brightness of my phone, and my wifi status never turn off, and my phone keeps working roughly 12hours+ with web surfing..quite enough for my daily work life..I'm currently using 2.3.3 version, which slightly improved the battery life comparing the older version 2.2..and after I root and calibrate the battery its just satisfied me. (Battery Calibration is an app that allow rooted phone user to calibrate their phone's battery, I bet u don't know what I'm saying thats why u thought I turning everything off to max my battery life)

I don't think Android users care what Google uses to bring them Android. What we all know for sure is iOS isn't involved when it comes to making Android... No on here was talking about Mac OS by the way.

The Android and Google company people actually uses APPLE OS to be more productive... they even dont care if you know that because they are using it in front of our eyes.

Just look at this link: http://www.esmandau.com/en-google-io-todos-usan-una-mac/

So... stop talking about Apple and his OS's cause is the engine that is bringing you a new android version every couple of weeks

                    Well...like I said before...

Android need a Zillion of companies to get along. Nokia is just Nokia...

What if Android was sold only in one device like iOS? Would be the same?

I don't think so...People will buy LG's Androids if they where the ONLY companie with Android??

That's the greatness of Nokia, the have the balls to say WE DON'T WILL SOLD ANDROID DEVICES, because they look to another path..

Let's see how will work Microsoft OS, is too quic to have a professional analysis over it.

But experts predicts an comeback of Microsoft, and this will be very good.

For other hand...Apple iOS is innovating too, soo many excellent things cames from apple, and now Apple kick Google's crown as "The most important and powerfull company of the world" let's see how good is the iPhone 5, but one thing is sure, gadget that makes Apple, gadget that is a sure hit...

                            Kalun,
Symbian's already dead, and went off like a couple of months ago.

Every era has a revolution; and a company that led it. The 90s were desktop-days; and Microsoft (Windows95 onward) defined it.
The 00s were the "dumbphone" mobile days, and Nokia ruled it.
Now is the time for the smartphone, laptop and internet fusion, and by far the BEST combination out there right now is Google's Android!
