it makes me laugh with all the camera phones out there. with great cameras. when we see a leaked screenshot or picture, they are always crap quality ie. 0.3 megapixel. so why is this.
i'm so happy this implementation will come back, the cyber-shot and the walkman series in a different level.. i love SE...
Anonymous, 12 May 2011Nokia uses Sony Image Sensor for their N8. I hope you guys are aware of this and many more of ... moreNokia's Carl Zeiss lens are actually from Sony, and one of the best lens out there, but Sony is not using it themselves. Heard that the lens is too expensive. Whether it's 8MP, 12MP or 16MP, if they give a sensor size smaller than 1/2.0 it doesnt mean anything N8's camera is successful because of the CMOS is big at 1/1.83. Sony produced decent camera phones before but they are 1/2.3, 1/2.5 or even smaller. 16MP with 1/2.5 doesnt help in improving image quality, so i hope Sony do realise they are actually putting shity cameras in their phones no matter how many MP it is.
Anonymous, 12 May 2011i hope its 16.4megapixel =) xenon .Why not a xenon for pictures plus a led for videos?
If Nokia then no longer have the best camera, then why buy anything from Nokia?
cybershot is good!!! but sucks with android!!! come on SE, everyone is making android phone. where is your style of SONY? be unique!
Nokia uses Sony Image Sensor for their N8. I hope you guys are aware of this and many more of their phone models too.
AnonD-2663, 12 May 2011It'll be another crappy xmor-r but with a 12mp sensor. Nokia's N8 is still the only decent cam... morei agree, before we had megapixel race and nokia eventually won
now we have mhz race and i guess nokia with ms will stop the android bloated nonsense
what a megapixels this camera phone n what lens brand camera? long time i waiting a new cybershot from se phones!
It'll be another crappy xmor-r but with a 12mp sensor. Nokia's N8 is still the only decent camera phone on the market and I think it'll be a while before anyone (apart from Nokia themselves) even comes close to it.
Anonymous, 11 May 2011Sorry to burst any of your bubbles. If you look closer at the Cyber-shot logo on the phone,... moreIt's a prototype and if you look at this low-res blurry image, you can see some motion blur on the edge and that might cause the uppercase C to appear lowercase.
