No update in the uk yet , and samsung uk have NO IDEA about this update at all

well, i've talk to a guy from LG who played with the Optimus Pad and from what i heard from him, there's no Honeycomb update for Galaxy Tab as one of the prerequisite for Honeycomb is that there will but no control buttons for a Honeycomb tablet yet the Tab has it.... well, for those Tab users, u will either have to wait for Ice-Cream Sandwich or development from xda.... ^_^

and I thought Samsung has forgotten about the P1000. Finally I can update my tab! Oh and Dan, the 3310 was great really... like 11 years ago...

My poor little Tab will have a taste of Gingerbread, I rarely use my Galaxy Tab for the fact that I have 3 mobile phones: (Omnia 7, iPhone4 and Galaxy S), I just use my Tab when I travel far watching movies with its 32Gb memory, and watch TV as my Tab has TV tuner with two different types: Analog and Digital, and of course internet-browsing & games.

i love gingerbread... but i dont like the tab.. i dont understand why all this silly technology is around these days. im only a youth but i love my 3310. its class. i play snake daily. and make tunes using the keys..

Samsung GT P1000 users in Nigeria are eagerly awaiting the desired update. It will be unthinkable to suggest the contrary considering the initial cost of acquisition, over eight hundred US dollars.
Indeed, we expect Samsung to expedite action on this update in Africa.
As a matter of fact, absence of genuine update program gives room for counterfeit Chinese software and subsequent loss of performance and attendant loss of future patronage.
This probably explains why Nokia is still handset of choice in this part of the world.

So does this means update also for the p1010 model? Is google talk/vdo, skype vdo and whatsapp supported on the wi-fi only version.
