All this hype means nothing. The true question is why should anyone buy another Nokia handset. Nokia has still not address or has taken any corrective actions that users can truly say fixed the purple tint screens...after all, this new handset can be seen as experimental. What happens when we encounter the same PURPLE TINT SCREENS like the N8, C7 & E7. Nokia would be pushing Windows OS by then...yeh, good luck.

Seems this may be a flip phone or something similar. I skimmed through the FCC tests and noted they ran some tests with the "flip open".
I wish Nokia will make a handset with the specs of the N8 and external dimensions of the iPhone 4 with a 4" display area.

AnonD-7916, 12 May 2011i think it just an ordinary phone concept, not impressed. :(It already passes FCC testing. It's no longer a concept phone. It's real already. It will be unveiled very soon.

The one thing I have to say about the current Nokia's is I absolutely love that they are supporting every band. Gone are the days of having to wait for a NAM version or etc, etc. I haven't been interested in buying any of these new Nokias, mind you, but it's nice to see they're targeting all markets now.

                1. The CPU. This is an Apple A5 class CPU. Don't look just at the Mhz.
                2. MEEGO OS is a big deal here. Looking forward for this breakthrough OS.

Specs are from yesteryear. From the looks of it, this device is going to have the same structure as the E7/N8 which is not a very smart move since it's all about thinness these days a la Xperia Arc and SGS2. And unless Meego has some sort of power management feature, a 1200mAh battery is going to have you glued to your power socket most of the time. Hardly passable by superphone standards.

Nokia is back. The same way: Low Specs, Outdated OS, High Price. They think they can built back their brand image doing this.

As a quick refresher, the N9's rumored spec list includes features like a 4-inch 800x480 OLED display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, 64GB of internal memory, 720p video capture, a sliding physical QWERTY keyboard, and an all-metal body that's been described as "near perfect."

that "nose" thing is a side sliding mechanism already seen on nokia, research it a little...

Hey all, i also heard news this is only for developers, and the n9-01 or the updated n950 without a qwerty is what will be released for the public. I hope that isnt true though since i want a qwerty phone lol.

Also i believe it wont have microSD slot as last years leaked photos do not show a port for it, excpet for the sim card entry, sicne its non removable battery.
But i would like to know if it will have, USB OTG, HDMI and PLEASE an AF camera!! for heavens sakes

I still think that N9 is just an unrealistic thing that everyone talk about but we will never see it. Because, Nsomething are premium phones, the best they can make. And something9 is the best they can make. So making N9, it's like saying this is the very best phone we can made and you cannot expect anything better from us. Which would be a mistake of course.
