The telemetry options have been improved in creators update. And any telemetry that is basic is anonymous and only functional for the performance of operating system.
Say you have a crash happen in the background you don't know about. And that crash could lead to spill into different memory locations and an exploit. Ms would be able to see that and provide a fix. This way in the future you will be less likely to have this vulnerability affect you as someone realizes it and develops a virus.
Your PC will also improve as updates come because the specific hardware profile users have may be causing deadlocking or who knows. This information really does improve the operating system and the user experience. So users want security, performance and the ability to customize hardware but they cry afoul when an OS tries to provide them exactly that?
All the conspiracy theories are just wrong in this case. MS is building windows 10 and released it to public early. It's perfecting things. Privacy being one of them. There was even a false report that was debunked because some guy who did captures didn't know what they were doing.
Again, it's your choice but sometimes you have to keep an open mind and really take things into proper perspective.

Microsoft removes more and more features, options, privacy and user control from Windows 10 that are present in previous Windows versions. Microsoft also enforces their crap like telemetry and automatic updates.
The only reason why games run better on Windows 10 is that Microsoft purposely don't make the latest DirectX compatible with earlier Windows versions, because they want to enforce everyone to use the Windows 10 spyware.

Live tiles are horrible but you can turn them off. The tiles can get ugly no doubt as they need uniformity. The concept is great, and folders/groups make finding stuff so quick and easy. The tiles just need to be enhanced to look better. Developers go nuts and make super loud tiles. Eventually it starts looking like miscoloured lego pieces all laying in one spot competing for your attention.
In their mixed reality world tiles make way more sense. Hololens and tiles are great. They are easier to work with especially with hand gestures. They don't require super precise aiming.
You can still get start10 and get the benefits of windows 10 like security and gaming performance. It really does make games perform better with the creators update.
But yah Windows 7 is still great, but the others? not really seeing the argument for them.

Just this morning I left my W10 Alienware laptop alone, came back after 15 minutes, I found it restarted. I don't know what to do, this is the first time it restarts like that on its own, and no it's not because of updates, updates came out July 11. I'm incredibly fed up with Windows.

actually Microsoft should have merged MSPaint + FreshPaint and released in the windows app store
3D paint is good. still it needs more options like
magic wand
layers
3d effects like squish, twist, stretch
3d animations like bouyancy, gravity and resistance etc
basically 3d paint should be able to create a simple 3d environment like angry birds game
then it will be a a best tool for the next generation

why should MS delete Paint :{ it's a stupid move since it's the only windows' tool to change the size and pixel of pictures... it's a photo editing and painting app BY THE WAY the first feature and save as other format ... 3D painting is also good in windows specially with stylus

Its funny how dinosaurs still like to post on blogs. who wouldn't want to use windows 10 as a software developer who works on multiple platforms and versions of windows . i have never had an issue with windows 10. i rate the issue is behind the keyboard
