Fun how people are still living under a rock, many people flash miui on other devices (such as older nexus devices). Also Miui 9 will be supporting OFFICIALLY 4 year old xiaomi phones. AND Xiaomi is #2 phone seller in india + there is nice importing options available worldwide. Im pretty sure Xiaomi could outrun Apple and Samsung in a few years IF they wanted to. Right now they stick to the primary phone markets: china, india, south america.

Plus Xiaomi devices are imported trough back channels into a lot of country's. Sorry to burst you bubble but the US is not the center of the world ...

Even the MIUI update to 9, the android base still stuck in Lollipop or Marshmallow for older devices
