Kangal, 26 Jul 2017You guys clearly don't use professional programs, or mainstream games with huge storage requir... more4K gaming is making things much crazier too. Most of these games are huge. MS store already has a few.

50GB + for a single game easily.

Netflix is also starting to do 4k and allowing for downloading content. This makes it easier than streaming since you can download overnight and watch it anytime and not chew up your internet.

Phones are recording 4k videos and keeping this content on your phone will just take up space.

Media in general is taking up more and more space. The only people really getting illegal content are likely youth. Heck, before Steam I used to get pirated games too. Now pirated games for pc and android are the biggest source of malware/virus distribution. Especially new ones no one knows about.

Regardless of whether the content is illegal or not fact is that we are always going to need more space.Even if you download the content legally and pay legitimate prices fact is you will need more space.Speed and Effeciency go together has nothing to do with Legal or Illegal content and furthermore it has more implications than storage.

Kyo, 26 Jul 2017Although you are correct about 95% pc users just have illegal content, what about video content... moreYou guys clearly don't use professional programs, or mainstream games with huge storage requirements.

64GB can house the full Windows 10 Pro Operating System.
128GB can do the same, and leave a bit of storage behind.
256GB can do so, and leave actually usable/decent/modern amount of storage.

...combine a SSD with a 2TB HDD which can store your backups and home videos, well you're set for a number of years.
