AnonD-427, 16 May 2011How? :D Is it in the Kies? Or a different software? Sorry still new to Android. :DTitanium Backup is found on the market. Go grab the PRO version and backup all your apps+data. Forget about Kies. Go to XDA, root your device and grab a custom ROM. You'll be a happier camper.
Samsung is a big let down for its customers. Considering that Gingerbread was released back in 2010 on almost identical hardware (Nexus S) built by Samsung, it is now almost 6 months we are waiting for upgrade. Even later than its competitors who started from scratch.
Instead of trying to create dozens of the varieties of the same phone they cannot support they should concentrate on fewer flagship models they can support.
Instead of making IPhone copies, advertisement, they should provide proper press release not some random rumour. Last but not the least people are not buying Galaxy S because of TouchWiz or Samsung nun-functional customisation (many applications still do not work properly on Galaxy S), they buy despite that. We just want Android on decent hardware that is updated quickly.
mena, 16 May 2011Ehm!! Say what??? I installed ginger to my Galaxy S 3 weeks ago via KIES, so isn't that of... moreThey pulled Galaxy S Gingerbread update after couple days because it had problem I think. Now they're putting it back up.
Updated officially on Kies last week to Gingerbread XWJVH but this had been around for a while! Or was it not official?! on Kies?!
Yeepee to all the galaxy users, i guess it's time for high 3D graphics acceleration, and cooler stuffs. Samsung, WELL DONE!
