If the price drops in less than 3months then that really means that these devices doesn't warrant the high initial price and it devaluates fast.

this is a pricing discussion, not a gpu or cpu topic.

im a se fan and i dont care about others but im glad to see a great firm such as nokia announces new phones because nokia phones are more attractive tham ugly and over advertised samsungs.
therock, 15 May 2011and...why is the topic here the gpu and cpu??? this nokia article is about the pre order price.
The price is rediculous and it's pretty much the same as the N8. My N8 was launched 7 months ago and it got more features than the E6 and X7. It doesn't justify the high pre order price at all. Like I said earlier, even a fanboy like me cannot defend this crazy pricing.
I hope the X7 doesn't suffer the same purple screen defect on my N8. Nokia's AMOLED screens are faulty.
and...why is the topic here the gpu and cpu??? this nokia article is about the pre order price.
is this the court room??...lol.
NOkia is still "connecting people"....=).
[deleted post]i have also use the ios and windows smartphones, but i prefer the symbian OS so im sticking to my 5800 express music. im deciding between the n8 or n9, even the e6 as my next smartphone.
Anonymous, 15 May 2011dont you think your comments is a little too much?proving your point is one thing but your las... moreI am just posting statistical information. Nokia's highest selling markets are that, rural developing countries, Areas of China where they're not close to developed cities, and rural parts of India. Nothing wrong with this, Nokia sells 100 million devices in these areas and at a price of 60 euros on average thats quite a lot of money, these people needs phones that will last long as power is not readily available. My comment about the GPU however is not towards rural people, it's to those who have access to information and technology but fail to use it to gain information such as your average Nokia fanboy on here. Is Nokia a failing company? In my eyes yes, if you don't like it you can always refute my statement; just be sure to have an answer when I give you facts and information to back up my claim.

no matter what, anything in nokia smartphone that makes me satisfy..

They think that because the BCM2727 running at nHD(640x360) scores as well as the Adreno 205 at 480x800 and the hummingbird at same resolution that their phones are just as powerful. They don't believe that if the GPU needs to render an additional 153000 pixels it's performance would drop. It's okay, most Nokia fanbois live in poor rural areas where they can't afford to play games, so they don't know how GPU's work in general. If you were to tell them a gpu Crysis 2 running at 1920x1200 with full AA and pulling only 24fps is not the same as a gpu running Crysis 2 at 800 x 600 at 24 fps, they'll call you a witch because this defies logic.
AnonD-291, 15 May 2011you mean to say A8 is just overkill or just fine for the battery ? replacing ARM11 with A8 i... morehe mean he is a pure fanboy which don't even know the fact an A8 can have a better battery life when run on the same processing power as an ARM11
Anonymous, 15 May 2011Oh dear oh dear, you're completely missing the point.
I'm merely saying that other operating... moreYou fail to see two important points.
1. A8 is much more advanced than the ARM11 used in Nokia phones.
2. iPhone 3GS has less than half the resolution of standard WVGA android phones which you describe are "power hungry".
So an A8 Cortex 600Mhz HVGA iphone 3GS is equal if not more powerful that an A8 Cortex 1Ghz WVGA smartphone.
AnonD-695, 15 May 2011anandtech.com once mentioned that the arm11 is just for symbian^3 and putting an arm8 processo... moreyou mean to say A8 is just overkill or just fine for the battery ?
replacing ARM11 with A8 is never overkill, because A8 is more efficient than ARM11 (because of its architecture).
[deleted post]LOL I thought you fanbois always said that your devices were more functional? Yet you're only doing exactly what we are doing with our more expensive toys? You're right to me a phone is just that, a toy. I can afford to buy them quite often, and guess what? My phones were never resource hungry. Maybe you should do some research before you actually talk non sense. You do know that symbian was free until April 5 2011 right? Why is it that no one but Nokia used symbian? Because I was crap. Your next excuse is that you don't need android because flash lite is fine? LOL and your reason for thatbwas there's no right clicking in a mobile device? I play flash games perfectly fine on my phones. This includes Facebook games on the actual Facebook website as well as sites such as omgpop. So while you're sitting there laughing because your web browser sucks and you need to download opera we laugh because our phones give better user experiences right out of the box. Nokia has high market shares because their devices are cheap, but that's nothing wrong, I know the majority of the world isn't like me where they can afford to put out 500 usd. Every 7 months for top of the line phone andbcan only afford the average 60 euro that the average Nokia devices sell for(non smartphone). By the way this was typed entirely on my g2x(optimus 2x) with full flash content enabled, but you Nokia tanbois think that is a "waste" of resource. Sure when you can't have anything it'd a waste of resource huh? Lol
Hi better or not outdated or not - Symbian or not as long its working is a good phone so i do not understand those opinions saying that Nokia is dreaming that symbian was good 4 years ago.I have nokia n8 is it looking better than other phones(Symbian UI) on the market no idea but it makes good quality photos it has quick office WIFI and good screen so pleace stop saying that it was good 4 yeaars ago i have it now and IT IS GOOD
