I am very happy to hear that Nokia is launching a new model with 4000mah battery.
Finally nokia understood the need of battery backback in smartphones.
No one likes to charge his/her mobile 3-4 times a day due to regular usage.
If Nokia 2 will launch with these features, It will cover the mid range market of asian countries and will kick chinese/other unkown brands from all over the world.
Nokia hardware no doubt is very impressive , but in all the current models battery is not impressive at all.
If Nokia continues to bring high battery power samart phones then once again it will capture 60% of market worldwide as it did a decade before.
When we all say save power save energy then why we all are using low mah batteries and charge our cellphones 3-4 times a day. Even though its provides fast charging option till 50%.
awesome mobile but increase internal memory to 16gb and increase ram 2gb plz nokia
design should be a factor.. put the 5inch at a minimum body ratio.. should be good looking and compact in hand... my dimension is 127x65.x8 mm. ergonomic revolution will start there.
Snapdragon 200 makes this Nokia 2 better that Nokia 3! Easier to make upgrades.
If the price is right this can be really good budget phone. The build guality of New Nokia phones has been very good for the price point. And if Nokia 2 get same software upgrades than its more expensive siblins, it is the best budget phone in the market! I am sure that you can get better specks for the same price, but softaware upgrades in low price gategory has been abysmall bad in all Android phones. This can be the first low cost Android phone with good security upgrades ever (among the Nokia 3, that has some problems because the mediatech cpu that has caused some delays, but even that is gettin upgrades so my hopes Are high)
Anonymous, 31 Jul 2017I'll buy it just because it is cute.. OMG look how cute this thing is.. Who cares about the SD... moreBuy phone because is cute ? LOL people buy phone because is fuctionality, price, quality, usability and durability. If people buy phone because its cute, out there is lot of cute phone but not all of it become popular. Some popular phone are ugly look but a lot of people buy it.
I wish instead of being low end it would be an xperia compact competitor... 4.5 screen with good specs is my dream...
I'll buy it just because it is cute.. OMG look how cute this thing is.. Who cares about the SD212 or the on screen button or the 8GB internal? This thing is just cute.. And millions will buy it
Hotcakes17, 29 Jul 2017Cheap sellsYeah, I'd imagine most of the market is in the low-end gear.
For me in 2017 the minimum RAM and ROM requirement should be 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. One of my phone is TP-Link Neffos C5L come with 4.5" screen Snapdragon 210 RAM 1GB ROM 8GB and the phone is quite slow. I use this phone as my secondary phone. If Nokia 2 come with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM I may consider it as a replacement for my TP-Link Neffos C5L.
For real Nikkia? :D Android 7.1 Nougat with 8GB internal memory. OMG I only just used Facebook is enough to make free space remaining. :D
I've been looking for a low-end phone as my 2ndary phone..this could be it..i'll wait..
Anonymous, 28 Jul 2017 Well i dont see Nokia do any good phones anymore. They have the old good name for the phone ... moreWhy the hell do you keep comparing it with Chinese mobiles?? Apple also manufacturs in China. While Nokia is doing it in India, China, Vietnam. BTW , all three nokia phones are now on 7.1.1 with july security patch. Any company can only think of doing it. Nokia 3 also got UI fixes and improvements.
Better would be to run a proprietary OS or resurrect Symbian. Android is too chunky and overrated.
KMB877, 28 Jul 20178GB shall be enough id the phone will have a SDslot. However, I can't see a 2017 Android phone... moreyou don't understand it's not 8GB actually it's something like 1.8 or 2GB max that will be available to user out of the box and after doing few updates that are necessary and you will lucky if there is even 500MB left .
If someone wants phone whit low price, probably they dont demand to much!
Anonymous, 28 Jul 2017Snapdragon 212? Seriously Nokia?Well it should be perfect for light users that call, text and email. Not everyone is a power user demanding the best Snapdragon chip.
Anonymous, 28 Jul 2017sometimes I don't understand why Nokia loves and keep wanting to compete in the low-end market... moreHow long did it take for Huawei to take that decision? Nokia is just experimenting with their brand recall, nostalgia, design and update assurance. They didn't launch 10 devices with 212, just one. We should be happy to see many companies competing in lower segment.
