Sami all our phones are active - I have not seen anyone put their mobile phone in the closet for safe keeping.
Now that this secret is out of the closet, all your high end phones should be MILT 810 G certified. I am pretty sure people will choose durability over looks if the price was the same.
Please make all your high end phones IP68 and MILT 810 G Certifies.
I think for the first time the S Active series will get a substantial number of sales...
If Active came on the S8+ series and the Note8I would have grabbed one. For Millionth time: i care less about slimness as long as I can get better battery and more ruggedness.
T-Mobile users in North America will probably be able to unlock and use this phone, like the previous Active models. We shall see.
I'd like to have one in Germany, too.
This would be the better S8, especially wthi the bigger battery size (4000mAh) :)
I want one.
Ritzie, 28 Jul 2017Will it be available globally? Or strictly for Verizon again?it can be bought , people will buy them and resell them on ebay , but will be around $200 more sadly.
zodiacfml, 29 Jul 2017pleaase don't be too expensiveit will be $800
I need software
The S8 is not pretty, it is ugly. At least the S8 Active has better design.
"As a downside the added ruggedness and larger battery have significantly boosted the weight to 208g - that's over 50g more than the vanilla Galaxy S8. Thickness has also increased to 9.9mm."
That's the upside.
But who cares. It still has non-removable battery and only will be available exclusively in USA at a mobile operator.
[deleted post]Exactly, well said ....... I can't be done with the spelling and grammar police.
Well, I enjoyed the article personally, and as I said before, looking forward to the durability tests. Wanna see this thing thrown against a wall n run over by a tractor ...... will be interesting.
Now this I would get, with the 4000mAh battery, flat SHATTER-RESISTANT screen, and armored shell.
It has NO glass back, NO useless curved screen, and NO compromise to being a thin device with the sacrifice of battery. 9.9MM thick - it can be done! I do not even mind it becoming more thicker by 2MM so it can house 6000 mAh worth of battery, and I would not be having to worry about battery life with the heavy use I do with my phone.
Just too bad that this is ANOTHER AT&T exclusive.
Wrong news.
Phone in the picture is LG G6 ..with samsung letters on it.
jesus christ 5.1 audio is a speaker configuration it has nothing to do with bluetooth version
9-10mm is no downside, I'd take that over 6-7mm if the battery is bigger, any day of the week.
Anonymous, 28 Jul 2017So you get less sound quality out the speakers when the phone is less the bloutooth 5.1.5.1 means true audio sound.
Anonymous, 28 Jul 2017So you get less sound quality out the speakers when the phone is less the bloutooth 5.1.For example my phone is Bluetooth 4..1. So out off 5.1 speakers I won't get quite as good sound as out off a phone which 5 or 5.1. The speakers will still support.
Anonymous, 28 Jul 2017Bluetooth 5.1 is sound quaity. Samsung was first mobile phone to have a device which was Blu... moreSo you get less sound quality out the speakers when the phone is less the bloutooth 5.1.
