Ovi services do not support old Nokia phones, even if it an N-series or E-series.
that's why it fails...
Anonymous, 16 May 2011i work for a major european gsm provider. we have in test 4 new nokia models with meego and w7... moreDude if you worked for nokia you wouldnt be on here using the words destroy. It seems a bit childish for me.My dads harder than your dad kind of thing. The only thing nokia will DESTROY is themselves end off!!
This is great! Changing the name doesn't it changes the quality itself but however the sound of the new name for me is better than its old name Ovi store isn't quite catchy as the new changed name Nokia Store. I bet some people would be a fan of it. Btw, about the Anna update. We want it to be release now so we could enjoy your phones with the new updates itself.
i work for a major european gsm provider. we have in test 4 new nokia models with meego and w7 and one of them have 14 mp,fullhd videorecording, dual core intel cpu at 1,2 mhz.this will be a high end for the upcoming w-series. more i can,t tell you, but at the beginning of this autumn will be a very very big strike from nokia. until the end of this year will be a superb nokia internet table with windows 7 wich will destroy all
it is ok change the name but do not change your free navigation for live to chargeable option.
hope after changing name have better service to your customers and your employee.
Anonymous, 16 May 2011woah.. but ovi are the best app store!!! nnooooo!but the store isn't going anywhere - they are just changing the name..?!?!
chinni, 16 May 2011name doesnt matter only we need is better services Naming does matter. "Ovi", though means "door" in Finnish, it means "kindergarden" in Hungarian.
And as the article sais it is nothing more than the admittance of failing in the proper marketing of the "brand".
Doesn't change much Nokia is a sinking ship by the end of the year would have been taken over by Apple and Samsung and maybe even HTC in Smartphone market share.
edwardwoodwood, 16 May 2011Yet another nokia EPIC FAIL.Keep it up nokia and itll be curtains.Failed operating system and ... morecome on ... "epic fail" just because they switch the name form "OVI" to "Nokia"... the brand recognition of Nokia is probalby 1000 times higher than the one from "OVI" and i think they just fixed a (minor) "problem" in consistency. It should have been NOKIA already in the first place... but overall its not a big thing and for sure not an "EPIC fail"
i love nokia and am using one..
but ur fones are outdtaed..
Yet another nokia EPIC FAIL.Keep it up nokia and itll be curtains.Failed operating system and terrible phones and now poor marketing. What next overpricing?
"...that will change nothing but the Ovi word in various services."
Excellently summed up. My point exactly.
