Vegetaholic, 01 Aug 2017Future is getting closer :)This foldable phone could be a period of a transition product. Does anyone remember the Samsung Galaxy Star? A very early Note ancestor.
Foldable phone could be the whole new but it could be flaws for beginning.
Warranty must be come with 5 year so people can use without fear. I mean sealed battery bend to force the battery room narrower and the drop impact and the stability, because it is a foldable design.

Until a device like nokia morph comes out, this all is just a gimmick.

Lenovo had showcased it before. Foldable and flexible phone. A working concept. Hopefully will be launch for real and not just stay as a concept.
Well. I readed from Samsung that they weren't interested in release this before 2019. But perhaps this from Xiaomi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4XjJC2FHHg (whispers from Weibo) and other probable models from other brands force them to do it sooner.

Lenovo has done this recently! But it didn't like useful. Try searching for Lenovo folio and it's bracelet phone.
Just imagine folding your phone backwards to make it look like a bracelet with the screen of front so you can use it when it is wrapped around your wrist bye bye smartwatches
The Galaxy S3-era UI on the preview image is indicative of how long we have been hearing this rumour. Without further concrete evidence, it's best not to get your hopes up.
galaxy alpha of 2014 had model no g850 .... N this is g880

I would suggest Samsung to show prototype of it few days before new iPhone premier.... that would seriously shake market more than Xiaomi Mi Mix and Sharp Aquos Crystal with their bezel less screens and totally blew up Apple show
Why a new model number means foldable phone? Can't they just have a new line up with a brick phone?
Re the BT 4.2 support, this will be another one of those potentially ground breaking devices, knobbled by an inferior overall spec - a sign of lack of confidence by the manufacturer in their new technology. Same as the otherwise superb LG Flex phone that had a material on the back that self repaired and of course, the whole phone was curved vertically (better than being curved horizontally) and flexed so it didn't break in your pocket or when dropped. But they didn't give it a good spec, so it flopped.
With the Xperia Compact, Sony did the right thing, an innovative small phone, but with a spec the same as it's larger brethren.
So let's hope Samsung put the Note8 or better hardware in the X so it's usable. And of course, if it's foldable, include a stylus so it can do the notepad thing!
