Its such an awesome phone, all the right ticks in place. f1.7, 1080p@120, good audio, good screen, everything awesome.

What broke the deal for me, was absence of 3.5mm jack.
Where am I gonna lug around an adaptor, when it most probably will get broken after few months of listening?
Companies should give both options, 3.5mm jack as well as digital audio, like Galaxy S7/ S8.
But may still consider it....

Bigben, 02 Aug 2017Well it already has Full HD at 120fps. Best of all. It's 120 hz refresh rate. FPS is for video (frame per second). Your monitor/panel has no frame to show if you don't connect it to motherboard, so it doesn't carry any frame.

At least for me. Because it's battery backup is good. It's been 24 hrs I charged my phone and right now the battery % is 30. This phone is really good. I am happy with it. The only thing which bothers me (just a little bit) is the color of the phone. I badly wanted Solar Red version. But that was not available here in my country. So I had to buy Amazing silver. But it's OK... This one is also good.
P.s. - writing this comment from my HTC u11 phone

WOW! didn't even know you could add those as a software update. Bluetooth 5.0 and 1080p 60fps is quite an upgrade - you can actually feel the difference with these performance upgrades (unlike someone other company putting 2k screens that no one can see *cough *SAMSUNG* cough*)

nice job HTC!!

Obi Wan Kenobi, 02 Aug 2017I am guessing you don't use dedicated third-party headphones (or earphones for that matter).....I'm guessing the Dongle in the box just not going to work with your high-end headphones that are so much better than the USB-C head phones that also come in the box...SMH

Obi Wan Kenobi, 02 Aug 2017I am guessing you don't use dedicated third-party headphones (or earphones for that matter)..... Making friends I see. Anyway, although dongles aren't en vogue, but do however facilitate, say Dre Beats Studio (some hate this model, personally, I care for it) or Senheiser HD 800 s wired headphones. Android 8.0 will facilitate LDAC tech to bring about hi RES Bluetooth and bring Bluetooth 5.0 into the mainstream. No I don't like dongles. I like headphone jacks FYI. I do however like Bluetooth products . I've accidentally broken many cords on many pairs of headphones, of a variety price ranges. That my boy, sucks donkey d.

Obi Wan Kenobi, 02 Aug 2017I am guessing you don't use dedicated third-party headphones (or earphones for that matter).....The supplied head phones are great for me. If you would like a 3rd party brand you can always keep the adapter plugged into your head phones. Additionally, my phone has yet to die in 1 day of use. I don't believe I personally will ever be in the position of needing to charge AND listen to music thru head phones. And even if so, that may be once in 730 days.

Basically every HTC U11 comment thread contains this complaint by people who never lived without the 3.5 jack. I thought it would somewhat of an issue, but it turns out to be just fine.

And yeah, it may affect you personally to live without one someday. But it is not a detrimental issue with the HTC U11 that will effect every user of that phone. Spaming the comment section of every article is tiresome and turns a non-issue into seemingly some catastrophic failure on the devices part.

If the phone had options, and a free add on was a 3.5mm audio jack, I'd say yes. Give it to me. But it has had zero effect on my life, and I'm sure others would say it is minimal at best.
