Do... moreare you stoopid or what? earphones with active noise cancellation are not cheap, that's why many phones manufacturers doesn't provide it in the box to cut some price, and why phone manufacturers put earphones with noise-cancellation earphones when there are so many better earphones with noise-cancellation on the market? they aren't stupid..
And 3.5 mm jack isn't ancient thing, until now its still irreplacable, that's why I called you don't understand audio technology.. go check out your bluray player, your latest samsung samoled tv, your sound system, and go check those ridiculously priced hifi/audiophiles equipments and check whether all of them provide usb-c ports for plugging type-c earphones, can you found type-c ports for sound output?
and active-noise cancellation feature isn't new thing, you can search google there are many 3.5mm earphones with active-noise-cancellation feature. this prove that you are clearly doesn't understand about audio, if I were you, I would stop commenting because people are laughing to you

And hey, you can add removable batteries too. The day you see removable batteries become obsolete in phones is the day you see AA and AAA batteries no longer used and manufactured.

Always look at Apple before buying your tech.. even if you do not buy Apple products. Normally the time lag is 5 years.. but is faster in recent years.
If you see they dropping CD-Roms.. then you better start throwing your CDs or plan ahead.
If you see them dropping full size USB.. you better start stocking USB-c devices.
If you see them dropping the 3.5mm jacks.. you better not buy any expansive wired earphones.
Because sooner or later, you will find yourself angry that you buy a 1k earphone white elephant.

Google phones may be good BUT:
- NO SD card slot
- NO waterproofing
- NO 3.5mm jack
- Ugly design
Frankly, other than the updates I see no real reason to buy one.
Why should I choose one of their phones instead of Sony or even Sammy?
Also. I have a 1000 euro pair of headphones. Should I throw them away because they got rid of the jack?? No thanks!
