Ha ha ... Antenna was biggest challenge, common OnePlus team you should have watched iPhone 7 Plus tear-down video, it would have saved lot of time.
I feel they should honest to say they have copied rather than giving non-sense justification, there is nothing special in oneplus 5 design other than copy paste ...

Spolier alert: He just told to himself "Hey, why not copying the iPhone?". Then he took Qualcomm's latest SoC, two cameras, some RAM and glued everything on a motherboard. However, he was laughing so hard in an evil way that he had only five minutes left to bring and show his prototype to the execs. So he quickly put the display in. He didn't realize that he put it upside down. The execs said "Ok let's sell it" and here we are today.
