I don't think this MeeGo device will be a killer, frankly I don't even care because it doesn't matter to me. Why would I care how much it sells? It has the specs I want, HD, 12MP, 1280x720 resolution, 4 inch touchscreen, QWERTY, 16GB storage, MeeGo, Qt application support and debian Linux application support, full Flash 10.2 enabled browser, multitasking, 1.2Ghz dual core processor. Run Android, Windows, Ubuntu, any Linux program. Heh, who cares about how it will be marketed, I just want it.

Are you blind? Its Meggo/ Harmattan. You would think its symbian because of the icons but its not. symbian and maemo,meego has the same icons.

It is only an experimental device. Meego is not Nokia's priority right now. And even if there are other manufacturers to make Meego handsets, it will still unlikely penetrate the oversaturated smartphone market. LG and Panasonic won't attract potential consumers. And I doubt Nokia will mass produce units of this Meego device. And without large installed user base, there is no ecosystem. No ecosystem, no developers, no apps. You're on your own. Even I'm feeling the lack of good relevant apps on Symbian. It's basically N900 all over again.

By the way the article is kind of wrong. Some screenshots show that it's running symbian, but they also have screenshots showing that it runs Meego. This article has it's source wrong. The N9 or N950 will run on Meego. The symbian is just an example.
