AnonD-690494, 08 Aug 2017Android O does both of those, and I have both available on my Pixel's.
Notification badges ... moreNotification dots are most useless feature .... So they need another android version to add the notification count is it ????
Battery percentage finally they figured out how to show it .. damn so innovative !!!!!
boring and overrated stock android. When other OEMs have been providing more and more useful features google always needs more than 2 years to bring to features to stock android ... their take on stock android has to be good if they are calling their phones as premium and pricing their at $700+ ..For now $575 is till overpriced for that useless pixel phone !!
someone, 07 Aug 2017Still not worth it for a phone which can't even show battery percentage in status bar and that... moreAndroid O does both of those, and I have both available on my Pixel's.
Notification badges (called notification dots):

Battery percentage:

Still not worth it for a phone which can't even show battery percentage in status bar and that cannot show notification badges on app icons .. stock android is sooooo much overrated. Android O still does not solve above 2 problems. To see battery % u still need to swipe down once and app notification badges are just circles and does not provide number of notifications.
OEM android versions are 50000 times better than boring stock android.
i would if it's officially available in my country. it's not a popular phone because it isnt available worldwide. currently not even one country in southeast asia has google pixel phone. if its available wordwide it will gain more exposure. they are blazing fast since the rom didnt have any bloatware at all *cough bixby cough*
Kangal, 07 Aug 2017Still not worth it. No offence, but the highest end phone is the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8, an... moreI agree, they should rather compete with the G6
Still too much
Google Pixel Failed Series Of Google..... Better For Google Concentrate On The OS Than Wasting Money On Smart Phones Which Nobody Buys :)
i remember the affordability of Nexus 5..

AnonD-39937, 07 Aug 2017But... Why back to school even exists except for consumerism reasons?... Do we really need new... moreIt's a google device, i do own a nexus 7 the 2013 model.
It works so smooth, like i bought it today. I don't expect less durability from a pixel phone, so 'old tech' is still a good buy.
Too little too late
dream of a flagship remains a dream with today's pricing
But... Why back to school even exists except for consumerism reasons?... Do we really need new tech of the new year of school starts? We really can't still use the old one just because the school started?!
Still not worth it.
No offence, but the highest end phone is the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8, and the best value phone is the LG G6.... so there's really no room for the Pixel for an enthusiast.
There's going to be a newer Pixel phone revealed soon.
most of this kids must be waiting for the iphone 8 than this.
Too little too late!
For what is worth, those ahould've been the launch prices(+daydream bundle).Hope that Google will learn something from this fiasco.
still overpriced
