People so obsessed with the exterior like women doing Botox. But when they don't eat the right food, they die faster. It's the inside that counts. Need to take care of that foremost.
It's the same design as the 1st gen. What's the big deal? You people think is ugly like it is the first time you ever seen it. My Pixel is the greatest phone I ever had and on the greatest network I ever had, Verizon.
Could care less what the haters say about design, design, design, design. I'm not a shallow, insecure poseur like many of you here. Inside, baby. Inside is what matters like the inside of your body.

I prefer software experience. I don't like Samsung jank. Ruins the experience. Pixels on Verizon is the only way for me to go to. I passed my fickle stage of switching brands, OSes, and networks. Stick to one. Loyalty.

If the renders are true of this one it looks slightly better but the bezels are too big for a flagship and I'm not a fan of the two colors on the back.

This is the stupidest and ugliest design I've ever seen on a smartphone. Why wouldn't they pay more attention to their design language? I really can't understand because if they know that their designers are stupid then this is a problem right there. And if they don't know that then the problem is even much more complicated.

i have a feeling this will deliver... moreI got my Pixel a few days ago and the camera really is amazing and very natural (except when it pushes HDR to the max). Thanks to the image stacking that it does to reduce noise and increase resolution/quality, and thanks to the low noise reduction and natural post processing, it's the best smartphone camera. They just need to push it to 16 MP, increase sensor size to 1/1.5, add OIS, and increase aperture to 1.7, then they'll beat even one inch dedicated cameras, thanks to HDR+.
I have a Sony RX100 (1 in. camera) and it also has a Multi frame noise reduction (image stacking). It takes like 6 or so pictures and combines them into one. Really nice image quality for a one inch sensor.
The Pixel does that and I looked at its exif in low light and it goes to 4000 ISO LOL.. in order to get Its shutter speed to around 1/15, yet there's rarely any blur happening from not having OIS. The final result is still better than other smartphone cameras, at 4000 ISO.
I had an iPhone 7 and at night it used OIS and shot at 1/6 shutter speed in order to reach ~200 ISO and the result were not as good as the Pixel's 2000-4000 ISO. Image stacking is the way to go! Can't wait to see the Pixel 2. Hope they don't increase its body size, but instead, make it smaller so that I can hold it better.

You guys are hilarious. Have your opinion of what you want in a phone sure, but don't assume it is the same for everyone or going to have an impact on selling phones.
Check out the iPhone 7. It sells just fine with big bezels. And this year, although there will be an iPhone 8, there will be a 7s too. And that phone will have the same size bezels.
A great phone experience is far more valuable than the aesthetics. Yes, it should not look terrible. But thinking it must have the most cutting edge design styling is being totally ignorant of what is actually selling.

Those bezel-less phone with easy to break glass build are crap. ... moreYou can get shatterproof glass like some motos have, but that increased impact resistance comes as a trade off with decreased scratch resistance.
Now if they could coat it with some self repairing coating...

The camera could have been placed better. Instead of the flash, there should have been the camera, for better estetics
