This is probably their wo... moreMy thoughts exactly. They must be really desperate to get rid of their S8 stock, doing such a massive price cut so soon XD
Even with the huge marketing campaign that's still going on, I'm can fully understand it doesn't sell well: the edge is the most useless gimmick ever, invites phantom inputs and makes the device fragile like an eggshell.
Then you still have the notoriously bad and tiny Samsung battery, which degrades really fast, the device is awfully narrow and has been stretched like chewing gum, resulting in a very awkward and unwieldy 18.5:9 format, it's full of the typical Samsung bloat, which makes it run a good bit slower, etc.
With all these massive flaws, it's no surprise at all that they need to do such a massive price cut so soon, in order for it to sell and not to dust up in the shelves.

I have been using the S8 plus for the past two and half months and it's the best phone I've ever had. I will not buy another phone for the next three or four years. I believe the S8 is also equally good but for the size. All those who used to go for the Note series for the sake of it's size will not buy the Note 8 because the S8 plus is as good as the Note 8 minus the S pen. The infinity display on the S8 and S8 plus is mind blowing!

And needless to say, that these deals should/must be globally, and not just in/for the US or China, Korea or India, etc. But everyone (every country) must have the same opportunities/ availability, deals and so on.

Even if it were free I woudln't want it. I hate phones with glass body, non-removable battery, curved/bezelless edges etc. It also doesn't have IR blaster, FM Radio and has non-standard screen resolution. If I got it free I would sell it immediately.

Honestly, we in India haven't even received one price cut. It was always Rs. 57900 and now its even more on few sites.
Only S8+ 6/128 received a price cut from Rs. 74990 to Rs. 70990.
