AnonD-114814, 10 Aug 2017f/1.6 vs f/1.8 is a third of a stop difference, so that 33% more light , not 25%, . pretty ... moreWell if it is F1.6 and F1.8 sharp, then the improvement factor is (1.8/1.6)² or 126.5625 %
That is closer to 25% than 30% - and we have no guarantee that the the number 1.6 is sharp, it could be say 1.61 rounded down. (or even 1.649...). F1.61 gives 25.00% over F1.8.
"the rear camera module on the upcoming phone is 30% smaller in size compared its predecessor"
seems worrying. If this means a 30% less sensor size, they throw more away than the 27% gained by the larger aperture
First picture is/was first picture (before use)
Second picture is/was second picture (after use)
Kraftwerk87, 10 Aug 2017Maybe this time they won´t cover the cameras with a glass that breaks easier than a toot... moreAnd make updates. And improve quality. And power consumption. And get back best cameras on market. Don't think it's possible - lg mobile don't care about users at all.
Maybe this time they won´t cover the cameras with a glass that breaks easier than a tooth pick.
Vineet290, 10 Aug 2017Why don't they do same efforts in marketing.Because this way, we could buy a flagship at the low price. XD
Anonymous, 10 Aug 2017Of course they don't talk about that like the G6, V30 might have a smaller camera sensor (1/3"... moreI see people bashing you and your comment, but I have to say, I absolutely agree with you.
Anonymous, 10 Aug 2017Of course they don't talk about that like the G6, V30 might have a smaller camera sensor (1/3"... moreIts because of these kind of people that the ir blaster is missing in many phones whos predecessors had it
f/1.6 vs f/1.8 is a third of a stop difference, so that 33% more light , not 25%, . pretty impressive.
Anonymous, 10 Aug 2017Of course they don't talk about that like the G6, V30 might have a smaller camera sensor (1/3"... moreActually I think:
- The V30 will have 2.5D glass and no curved screen
- I don't understand why people need IR blaster
- Removable battery is history
- To protect the glass body, use a decent cover
ResolvePi, 10 Aug 2017V30 sounds awesome. Thing is, I want a stylus. Pity LG haven't tried to compete with Samsung ... moreThe thing is: most people have never used a stylus. They simply don't know the difference to a normal capacitive pen.
Of course they don't talk about that like the G6, V30 might have a smaller camera sensor (1/3") than V20 and older LG phones (1/2.6").
In fact, LG V30 is much worse than V20. The advantages of V20:
- removable battery
- FM Radio
- IR blaster
- flat screen
- not glass body
- i'm not sure about camera, despite it has bigger sensor size (same size as G5's), it (V20 and G6) has worse camera than G5
Disadvantages of V20:
- fragile camera glass (ALL V20 units are prone to crack)
- bad camera lens quality (it's worse than G5's lens, because V20's photos are blurry at the edges and corners)
AnonD-114814, 10 Aug 2017Jealous lg haters trolling hereDude, i don't see any hater here or maybe you wished to find some. Guys like you look for a fight every time. Anyone should appreciate what LG is doing with their camera, people need to rise above their petty fanboy-ism. Personally i like high end galaxies more but i'm not going to hate on something just because LG has done it. Instead i hope for a good competition that will in turn raise the camera quality even more.
