Motorola is Motorola. Motorola is known to make durable and practical phones for years. They are not going to sacrifice the phone's durability for some stupid bezeless display trend. The bezeless phones are very fragile. I'm really glad Motorola is not following that. In fact they seem to be one of the very few to care more about durability than anything else wich is great, it shows that they care about their customers. They also provide a clean Android experience and fast updates still, even under Lenovo (yes, last year's phones got Nougat way before any other brand and I'm rocking Android 7.1.1 since 2 months ago on my "midrange" Moto Z Play, S8 fans dream of that).

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2017Motorola is Motorola.! They are not coping or following any brands A lot of big company vanished for being arrogant and not change when due. If Moto decide to follow same trend, they will vanish for sure. Even the most profitable Apple is changing to stay relevant.

If you are only going to offer me a geographically crippled product for purchase, then keep them all. Also, it’s pathetic that you can get the G5 plus with better specs at a lower price outside of your favored status markets.

Firstly, design seems original (not like crowd of iphone replicas, which have flooded the market). It also looks better than G series primarily due to single piece back panel.
Nearly stock Android will make it a great performer. Though SD 660 would have been a better choice.
However,its sad that Lenovo has pushed premium X family to mid ranger segment.

Back of X4 looks really superb. Good Design for Camera hump as well.

Very disappointed by this. It looked so much better in the leaks. It's just a glass G5S or a dual camera G5.
I don't mind the top and bottom bezels but the width is important. A 5.2" screen should be 70-72mm wide. This is over 73. The 1mm does actually make a big difference to use and looks.
