Apple wants users to upgrade their phone, the updates on iPhone makes the phone more slower, as the new iOS tends to be more CPU and GPU intensive. Android updates on a 2 GB ram and Quad core cpu phone doesn't make it slow. they do this so tht people upgrades to a newer phone.

They can sell their phones for higher price than the S8 with no innovations and less ... morehahaha dont compare price yaar bcoz still many people bought iphones and samsungs only even price is doubled. and they are tar1 brands not like oneplus like imported from cheap chines OEMS. and everyone knows if oneplus also priced like apple and samsung no one will buy that crap.

Pia, 12 Aug 2017They have been doing this since the release OP2 and when OP2 was release they quickly stop OOS... moreIn my opinion, they shouldn't have done this. They could have sold more Oneplus 3T and increase their sales, revenue and Fanbase. Also, by this way they had their present in both price segments in Indian Market (below 30K and Above 30K). There are still so many people, who really admire the design and performance of OP 3/3T over OP5.
I too have chosen the Oneplus 3T over Oneplus 5, because I know that OP5 is a crap/flop. I didn't want that "Copy Cat" or an iPhone look alike. And about the latest updates, we don't need you "Oneplus". Until and Unless, we have a supporting hardware, we will be having new Android updates. Very Thanks to Google and Android Communities."

Are you OK, you don't sound same? Name two manufacturers who do so, Apple and... And there is no other, unless you count Xiaomi and a revival of their Mi2S, Mi3 and Mi4. SOME of the manufacturers support SOME of their phones UP TO 2 years. Get your shot right.

OnePlus 3T was released in November 2016. OPs announcement that Android O will be the last major update means that this phone has had software updates for less than a year. That's worse than what other major vendors support (atleast 2 years). What is the point of having 6/8GB RAM and a Snapdragon 821 chipset, if the phone cannot be kept updated for even a year. Shame on you, OP for falling for cheap marketing, without bothering to support your flagships for even a year. Looks like you're destined to be just another wannabe, if you continue to tread this path.... I hope sense will prevail.

Anonym, 12 Aug 2017"Why does everyone keep focussing on those bloody "security updates"? It's not that older phon... moreI don't think most of the phone users run a big multi billion dollar corporate houses. Also with the weird sites that people browse and them clickbaits, no phone is safe.
Safety depends on users not on some random software. If the user doesn't know how to use a phone, no security updates are gonna help him. 99% of general users Don't know what security and update stuff is. It's the 1-2 % who know this stuff make all the noise.
