The new Nokia devices are well thought out.
The 8 and 9 are and will be beautiful. The whole thing make sense and covers choices.
A good balance, something for everyone and punching very high. I’m in
Decent size. A classic practical design that makes sense.
Handsome Highly polished with finesse
Finger sensor on the front, I like this, easy natural position for the thumb to open
Good balance of screen resolution for battery sip
High nits contrast for liveliness and outdoors
OZO Spatial- immersive sound technology
Always on technology on a bright LCD
Zeiss photographic technology
Heat dispersant fibre and cooling core to keep phone cool for maximum work capacity
No to full glass back – yes
Nice curve of body to accommodate fine internals to a thin edge for a comfortable feel
Screen on screen streaming visuals
As above but for those that like the finger sensor on the back and minimum bezel.
Those hundreds of patents are going to work. Welcome back Nokia !
Essential PH 1 entered TOO late... Nokia 9, Samsung Note 8, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 and the iPhone 8 are next to come to steal the show.
Oh, forgot LG V30, the true flagship AND the Huawei Mate 10. Expecting the ZTE Axon 8 too.
Nokia's glory days are back! My next phone.
Nokia 15 please successor of Lumia 1520.
AsusTech, 18 Aug 2017they will skip the number 7Talk about the lucky number se7en :P
I wonder why they skipped the number 7 though. Very curious about that.
Anonymous, 17 Aug 2017What about the 7 Nokia?they will skip the number 7
If these rumours hold, Essential PH1 could have a very hard time getting a foothold.
I bet a lot would go for a HMD-Nokia 9 as described instead...
Or at the very least many will await reviews of both before buying the PH1...
So a lot of a potential success of PH1 could depend on how soon/late the 9 will actually be available...
Apart from being way to big for me, it looks great...
Kirk, 17 Aug 2017Good specs, Great quality, Monotonous design... seriously nothing creative with the phones loo... moreWell, to be honest, I wouldn't know how to be creative with a phone that is needs to have:
-the smallest physical dimensions possible for portability
-a screen that preferably takes most of the front real estate
-a selfie camera somewhere
-some buttons on the sides or back
-a camera or two, with flash, at the back
-other ergonomic considerations
Phones these days are more of an engineering solution than anything, because anything otherwise is a huge financial risk for companies not named Apple or Samsung.
If this has a bezel less screen like the S8, I'm in!
But what happened to the 3310 3g model?
Why not fill the nokia 7 hole in the lineup with a smaller screened (or similar to 8 and small bezel) flagship spec small phone?
Good specs, Great quality, Monotonous design... seriously nothing creative with the phones look guys
But I'd like to have one ^^
Good, a proper flagship sized phone.
Anonymous, 17 Aug 2017What about the 7 Nokia?Maybe it will arrive alongside with Nokia 9
What about the 7 Nokia?
It will arrive around the end of the year maybe..but soon(after 3-4 months later) it's will be outdated bcz of Galaxy s9, lg G7 or maybe xz1 premuim?(if Sony puts bezeless 4k OLED screen).all will have SD845!!
Direct competition to Samsung8 and LG6 and other small besel phones. Also very expensive like those phones.
Sensible plan! Nokia 8 with good specks and good price. Nokia 9 with big screen, small besels and good specks with much higher price segment. If They keep the hardware otherwice same or near. It is good option to the customers. Bigger or smaller, more expensive or cheaper but the same user experience.
Just look how Nokia designers know how to design the alignment of the cameras and finger print sensors!!? Samsung guys take Note and learn how to properly put a finger print scanner at the back of a phone!!
Hope its cameras will be better than 8's. Also it comes soon. XZ1P's new camera will not be so forgiving.
