No bezels with screen off, but once you turn it on: fugly black boarders around the lcd. It will be the same with the mix2.

Would buy this at the suggested retail price; even DOUBLE the suggested retail price
IF AND ONLY IF:
1. It has 16:9 aspect ratio screen, not some stupid 18.5:9, 18:9 or 2:1 aspect ratio;
2. It has IR blaster, FM radio, AND headphone jack
3. It doesn't have the stupid curved glass edges of Samsung S7 edge, S8, S8+ etc.
I hope Xiaomi listens. Otherwise, I'll wait for the Mi Max 3. Still love the original Mi Max Prime although the design is already getting old.

1.Xiaomi was the first to introduce curved back With the Mi note Samsung Copied Them
2. Xiaomi was the first to mainstream Bezeless phones which was initially invented by sharp again Samsung wasted no time in copying it who are followed by apple with the iPhone 8
Hence its Samsung who copies Xiaomi and other Phones not the other way round
This shows the double standards or Samsung and apple fans they can copy whatever they like and still their fans will give it a name of innovation
But I'd its a Chinese company that invents something its always a copy
Fyki of all the fanboys fact is that your so called innovaters don't even have the facilities to manufacture these innovations they have to contract it to third party manufacturers like foxconn in China hence everything is made in China and innovations can also come from China
Times have changed but there needs to be a change in mentality

No matter how small the bezel, no one can defeat vivo's phone, their phone is literally no bezel, only a slab of transparent glass that can project 3d hologram..

Amazing, simply fantastic. Hopefully, Philippe Starck will really materialize it, and if so, it will definitely beat them all: Note 8, V30, Mate 10, etc., at least aesthetically, then as specs, it will be another story, but we'll see. Really looking forward to compare them all together (Note 8, V30, Mate 10, Mi Mix 2, etc).

Is that a Samsung galaxy S9+...
It strikes me as strange that the designer of the original Xiaomi Mi Mix phone would post this video, as it's so similar to the S8 "infinity display" marketing... showing the phone against a matching background. The original is such an unique design (comparisons to the Sharp phone withstanding). Is this video legit? Seems dubious.

If this is what Xiaomi capable at in 2017, just imagine ... morecompletely bezelless is not a true goal. the true goal is completely functional phone and high quality device in every aspect: good camera, stereo speaker, good battery, reliable, good software etc.
bezelles is simply just a design, nothing more.
even my current phone with minimal bezel is really hard to type text and playing games, putting a phone case helps a bit.
